I was planning to use Audacity to combine everyone's recorded tracks and fit them.
The only trouble I'm seeing with this is the lack of reading with each other. Some people will sound weird in comparison to others.
We need somewhere to practice lines together, to get a feel for everyone else's dynamic and give tips and whatnot.
I was thinking we could use Ventrilo, but my server has a 20 person cap, but I don't see any scenes coming up with that many people. If y'all want to do that, let me know, I'll post the IP.

sounds good, though the only problem is some people might not sound good if it's to be done LIVE. Especially if it has to be done in voices that's different from their normal talking voice.
but i like the idea of getting immediate feedbacks from the group, could really help a lot

i think the idea of everyone talking together like that would be good as a preping. then for those who wish to can go back and record their lines privately so it sounds much clearer.
anyway, i dont know what the limit is but skype seems to be a good system for talking with others online.

I'll be helping with the script. Already sent Episode 1's script to Darknezz.

I'm up for it, I've got a mid range voice and can go mid-high pretty well too. As for personality, I can do shy or burly(or something like that). Even if i don't have my PS3 yet, the anime works great as a sub for the game

Yeah about that, he never actually gave me the script; He left Ventrilo before I was able to get his comment.
EDIT: File received. I just have to do some final editing to it, and we should be good.

Lol?
If you're in desperate need for an extra voice ask me. I mean put me on the last of the last. If anyone new comes in to say they'll lend their voice, put me below them.
I want to be a last resort.

Okay, as I'm doing the final edits to the script, I've run into a major problem. Background noise/music.
Throughout the show, they've got music and background noise like birds chirping and people talking as they evacuate. The problem I'm seeing here is that we won't be able to get all that out of the show, minus the people talking.
I'm not very skilled at audio editing, and the best I'd be able to do would be for me rip the audio from the episodes and then just drop it to silent when our cast is speaking their lines. Unfortunately, that would mean that all the background noise that creates the ambiance is lost when we speak, and then there's the problem of fitting all the tracks together, which I'm not very skilled at doing.
If anyone has any skills at audio editing that could find a solution, or knows someone who does, please, let us know!

regarding to fitting multiple tracks together, Audacity allows the display of multiple tracks at once, and you can shift the time location of each of them accordingly. Might take a lot of time shifting tracks around. Haven't tried big number of tracks yet, but in theory it couldn't be that difficult to do.
but the omission of the back ground noise could be a major problem. Not sure on how to do that myself. Guess we can try to remove the vocals using one of the programs, but that usually makes it sounds iffy. luckily we still have the OST at our disposal.

I know about Audicity, I'm saying that I suck at it. If you want to give it a shot once we get episode 1 done, be my guest.
The background noise stuff isn't hard to eliminate; It's just that we have to eliminate it with the character dialogue.
I was thinking that we could use the OST to fill the music back in, but getting it cued and set up to where it fits exactly is kind of a pain.

oh ya, should everyone start auditioning for parts they would like to play or will we just be appointed roles? also, if we do the audition stuff, we should use youtube or email to send the stuff in. we would need lines for each character as well and everyone should audition for multiple characters though thats more of figuring out who would be good to play who.
if people wanna play multiple characters, thats cool but if its main character or major side characters, they gotta be able to sound somewhat different from one another. if its random extras then theres no problem with some of them sounding the same.
anyway, i if i get around to it ill make an audition for a couple characters i could play and post a link to the audition here.
