oh ya, for the editor they should defently et a sound program called Audacity
its an amazing sound editing program that really helps make the sound quality better. also helps to cancle out white noise that some mics just seem to create.

As for female voice actors, there are PLENTY of female members on the forums. The only problem is if they're interested or not.

I can do more than one voice, if need be. Not just jann. x3

If you still need a Welkin or Vyse, I'd definitely help out with that. =] Any extra voices as well.

i reckon that anyone who is thinking of contributing their own voices should do that step themselves, coz the editor don't have the access of the whites noise from the different mics.

edit: and if possible, i would like to do multiple characters as well...

Well I'm hoping to one day be a voice actress so I would be interested in helping out if you need it. Although, I admit that I don't know a lot about Valkyria Chronicles.

i mean as in, what's the audition process? Do we just look at the subbed anime and record some lines based on that? or will darknezz provide the script and we record it?

btw, so according to the OP, there will be 25 characters not counting the minor ones like the town watch and the enemy soldiers. 14 males and 11 females. Didn't see Vyse, though there could be more to be added on.
Important characters:
Welkin, Alicia, Isara (since they are the major ones)
Marina, Jann, Selvaria, Edy(fan favourites, so no room for error)
Think the princess could be a hurdle as well.

According to the end credit, Episode 1 has 16 cast members (Welkin, Alicia, Isara, Suzie, 7 town members, 1 captain 3 soldiers, and a narrator)

I was going to get the script and ask that auditions be a block of speech.

Unfortunately, getting the the script out of the subtitles is proving difficult, because every time I pause the video, the subtitles disappear.

If someone else can help me with that, it'd be much appreciated, and would help us get started, since without the script, we can't do this.

I'd be happy to lend my voice. I can do a lot of different accents and tones. Also I can help with slight script changes to help the script fit the mouth movements. Count me in!

Audacity is really good! That's what I use for all my recordings. Although, for me at least, it'll spontaneously close out. That might be because my computer is from the stone age but it's my way of lending out a friendly reminder to save. A lot.
