The thing is I've seen other users spam or rant like stranger has in chat and break rules and not get purged or a even a warning and then another guy comes in 2 seconds later and does the same thing and get purged and timed-out immediately and its not like they miss it in chat either because its right there next to the guy they purged for like at least half a minute.
I have also seen mods timeout and purge for personal reasons as well.
I understand mods can't catch everyone but sometimes it is pretty obvious when they are playing favorites or being bias. I havn't seen it happen too many times but enough where it could start to be an issue.

This wouldn't be a problem if chatters would follow the rules

This guy got purged for saying this I know I'm new here, but this isn't my first forum and not only did this ban seem biased, but he was obviously joking around. There's a big difference between that and trolling. In my experience when you start banning people for being sarcastic, or putting some humor in their posts, the forum turns into a clusterf**k of know-it-all, self-righteous blowhards. I understand TOing him for it for not contributing, but Permabanning him for it is kind stupid. Especially when there were other QTF posts in that thread that didn't contribute either.

Dodger, Inquisition has been trolling here for the last however long it's been. He probably got banned because of the trolling, not because of that one single post. I support his ban.

Although Clone didn't consult the other mods ....*ahem*....I don't have much of a problem with his banning, he really didn't contribute to any discussion, and instigated constantly. There's really no reason I should stick up for him.

as much as inquisition -was- a gigantic troll, i think it's really important to consult and discuss with other mods before taking action, much like how mods have to consult a 4pp member before banning someone in chat, otherwise they get in shit because brad or some other member has to deal with a bunch of unban requests when he doesn't even know what reason for ban was in the first place.

Well the mods are doing a good job keeping 1000 people in line at a time 98% of the time so I'll start off saying they are doing a good job, there is a bit that can be better tho.
1. Before and after broadcast mods, Chat just goes on a whole other level going into the morning hours and basically feels like their being held hostage by spammers.
2. Start timeouting people while they are starting to fight not letting it go on till it gets overblow. Like when someone out right calls another user a idiot or something along the lines, time them out, not let them duke it out for the next ten minutes in slow mode because you know thats going to follow. Same thing along the lines of the console fanboys, when someone says something completely stupid (No games, RROD) time them out before all the other fanboys jump in.
3. More voiced members that know what their doing and trying to help who's playing the game or things chatters ask. Like me, King, Satu, Spaz are trying to help a lot but never get voiced unless Brad says to while people like halfjaw who gets timed out all the time and a few others that usual get into dumb arguments Always have voice no matter what. Maybe a apply list for voiced viewers would be cool cause ya they can handle a lot of the what happened or why can't whoever just do this type of question.

I think the rules on what a "pointless post" is should be more clearly defined. I try o put effort in to each of my posts. Granted, when I first joined, i just wanted a higher count, but now i'm making, at least what I think, are better posts, and i still get warnings from Mods about my posts, so if you guys could post definitive guidelines somewhere in quality assurance, it would be much appreciated.

My comment is that I think the mods lock threads to easily. maybe i have not been here long enough to get it, but I saw two threads locked in the past 2 days at least. I don't kno, it seems weird to me. maybe i'm completely wrong

I am getting pretty tired of seeing threads get locked (rabbe) its pretty annoying when you're joking around with someone about the topic and then BAM! It's locked.

srry for all your troubles with mods, i try to be as fair as possible to ppl and i really don't get into fights.....over the internet so i hope im doing a fair good job and i can't be there all the time and im sure other mods are their to help so don't feel bad if u pm them if u feel abused or something like that.....im always glad to help if u pm me in chat. As for mornings go i doubt there are mods their in the morning so srry if lots of spammers are there. I know personally im more lenient to ppl if there is no broadcast going on like if someone says 2 worrds caps or something idk. hope you solve some of these problems and i totally used there and their wrong so many times but i don't really wanna go back and change it now.

I am getting pretty tired of seeing threads get locked (rabbe) its pretty annoying when you're joking around with someone about the topic and then BAM! It's locked. Because they deserve to be locked. 1. 01/02/09.........NEVER FORGET: Choppa was instigating a fight, and the thread started to turn into a bash fest. If they want to debate, the debate forum is the place for it. 2. Karma: Thread was resolved, and there wasn't much else to say about the topic. Plus the thread could've been in Forum Updates as a suggestion. 3. Locking my thread won't make the problem go away: Old bumped thread. 4. you guys'll love this.: If you really want this stupid thread unlocked, I'll do it. Those are the only thread's I've locked. also: 4playerpodcast.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1759&page=1

nah keep halfjaw's thread locked... it's not worth re-opening.
I think the mods do a bang up job, but i'll agree with the top post on this page about the personal bans... still not even sure why I was slapped with a perma-ban, but I digress, I can still watch the casts so not much of a hardship. However, everytime I'm in the room, or was... i saw pretty fair moderation being used, can't say I couldn't agree with half the TO's and bans issued to some of the jerkoffs in there.
It would be a nice feature to have, if the rules could be on the front page on the Jtv site, or perhaps a mature content warning before you can enter the chat/cast. Kinda helps to weed out the immature adolescents and those sharing that mentality before they even get in there.
Just my $0.02

I've received a TO for using caps and was not warned beforehand. Sure I was pissed cause I didn't know why I got a TO, but someone posted rules, I read them, and I understood. I think TO is a fair warning and not punishment at all. Ten minutes is nothing.

It's locked. yeah, i agreeeeeee whats wrong with having fun? i mean, thats all we are doing. theres never anything inappropriate. why does it have to be on topic? we had the "Random Discussion Thread"...but that magically disappeared...
