most mods dont do their job. when they do they play favorites.
im not just saying this because of what happened today between me, yaga, and cocyx, but i have seen this happen REPEATEDLY and to be honest, im sick of the f**king mods playing favorites.
its better to have a new person that has NO friends in chat be a mod than most of the mods being mods. starting 'fights' with another chatter was a TO-able offense, now it seems to have been removed. im getting sick of the favorites.
for today as an example.
i tell yaga to stop inviting me to satu's channel because, to be honest, i hate her to death, so i tell her to stop and she gets pissy and starts cussing. so she snaps at lunne and i say, AS A JOKE, "lunne she's on her period, dont bother apologizing" so she gets even more pissy and then pulls out "no wonder satu hates you" so me and another chatter start spamming OH SNAP and then cocyx jumps out of nowhere and starts flaming me.
me and the other chatter get purged while cocyx and yaga win.
i got on my other accounts to tell COSMICFLY that he was messing up as a mod because he obviously doesnt know the the rules so i started pin-pointing him being a mod and i say "go ahead and purge me because im right" so i get purged
abuse and favoritism...
good mod? i think not, and this isnt the first time it has happened
im really f**king sick of a majority of the mods.
the only mods that do the job are iront18 and mypallyowndu

ok my one suggestion
No more warnings if someone breaks a rule. Just purge when you see see rules broken. Anyways a purge is a warning, of a ban. It would make things better.

I not knocking on any of the mods, most of them are great, you know who you are  Although, mods really need to reinforce some rules such as the game request rule.(be less lenient or link to the rules ASAP will help) One big thing that I would like to see mods reinforce is internet memes - Over 9000, etc... - as well as 4pp memes such as, "BRAD DO A BEARRELL ROLL OMGZROROLFLF" or "BRAD USE STASIS HAR HAR IM FUNNY". Really? do we need 50 people saying it, either reinforce it by giving a warning or time them out, even if 50 people need a timeout it is part of the job. I know you give warnings or you have your own style, but things like this really do deserve a timeout if not an automatic rule posting. Why do we normal/regular chatters have to suffer due to other delinquents? (i.e. Slow mode, Broadcaster cutting feed), if mods would get rid of them, live feeds would not be cut. You guys are doing a great job, don't get me wrong, but you really need to get that whip cracking. Like someone else said, if you are only mod for a popularity contest, you really shouldn't be a mod. I would rather have a crazy ass mod who respects his position and does what is needed, than a mod who is too scared to push the clock button beside "Billy's" name. I hope none of you take this the wrong way, of course this is just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt if you wish, but I just wanted to help you guys in the long run to control the craziness of chat; that can happen on a nightly basis, especially after school when all the kids come. In the end, I do respect everything you mods do, controlling as much of chat as possible, keep up the great work. |

taiko88, you have every right to say what you think we should do (hence this thread being made), don't feel like we won't take it into consideration. We appreciate this feedback, especially formal and well explained feedback, not the bitchy type.
And Stranger, just drop it. When you, yaga and cocyx were arguing it seemed like you were only playing around, so I decided to let it slide and not time out anyone. If it heated up with N words and death threats then yeah, I would have put a stop to it straight away. Not to mention I had to keep leaving briefly for personal reasons (Flu = suckage). Then I came back to see chat filled with OH SNAP comments spamming the hell out of the place. A joke's a joke but you took it too far, so I did my job and timed out you and cloudnoobclan. Now, if you had waited the 10 minutes to come back and reasonably discuss why in your opinion you didn't deserve it, or better yet come straight to this thread, then yes, I would have listened to it and might very well have apologised if it was good enough. But no, you logged onto other accounts to throw a tantrum and heckle me and the rest of the mods. For that I won't say sorry. Next time, you should try; making less 'jokes' if you know the other person isn't going to like it, spamming chat with caps messages, insulting the mods using false accounts and trying to make out you're the victim of biasness. And for God's sake, it's only ten minutes. You could have taken a dump within that time and your TO would've been over by then.

yeah tbh, i've found that the mods have become exponentially more lacadaisical as time goes by, seems that there's a correlation between the time you've been a mod, and how quick you are to purge.
I for one am for the purge then post rules strategy, i find anyone who actually becomes angered by being purged or takes it personnally *cough* Stranger *cough* does not deserve to be here.
In reality, chat is a priveledge, not a right, you can talk in chat if you deserve it, but if you brek the rules chill for 10 minutes, bush up on your ettiquette, then you can come back.
I understand that it's up to the mods, because in reality, the mods are just chatters with a little more power than the others, they're there to watch the broadcast, not be your parents.
