I pose a simple question to any theist:
What is God? Please, define your God to the best of your ability.
And then answer me this other question:
Why should I worship your God?
Honestly, I can see no reason to worship a God from any of the major religions, mostly because I can't make head or tail of Qur'an and the God from the Jewish and Christian bibles is a terrible God.

I don't think atheist believe in a god or of any higher being. Each religion either believes in something or they don't. I've been told by a bunch of people that some people change religions before they die (eventually they believe in a higher being, mightier and holyier than them)
(this could be a huge topic maker)

while i don't fully support this thread. i think you should rather read about their god, such as their bible, and see how you feel about it. i'm pretty sure this might get locked bu oh well.
God i can simply say is a powerful omniscient deity creator of heaven and earth. he who brings free will and forgiveness for those who live under him. Creator of everything and everyone, giving us all we have, in which we take for granted. he who supports those less fortunate than us. we worship him for giving us life and a chance to see what it's like out here in the world.. i can't stress enough how much he means to us, but as your opinion, i can't stress enough to make an atheist believe in a god.
i don't look to long on this thread being of here for a long time

oh and i think you should modify the title. rather than "it" you should put "Him/Her" since that can offend someone.

Would you say your god is omnipresent and just as well? Creator of everything? We should worship him for giving us live? I'm sorry, but do you have any evidence that he even exists, let alone is the creator? oh and i think you should modify the title. rather than "it" you should put "Him/Her" since that can offend someone. "it" can be anything. Male, female, neither, both. If I simply put him/her, I'd be offending the other two, now wouldn't I?

I don't want to get very far into this. so i'll make it short.
I have no physical evidence, however, from teachings MANY years ago, A man Jesus Christ, son of god spread the word of God. Now two things can be true. He was either crazy, or he was speaking the truth. Many belive he was speaking the truth. This came, Christianity. From his religion, and from his teachings, people spread the words down the decades and centuries of our world. Jesus spoke of his father, who created us all. Me, growing up Christian, came to believe this concept. Some People may say, "Why can't god just come down and show hiimself?" ... well... what would become of that? Many people going crazy, riots.. people are crazy. But digress. Some may also say, "Why can't god just stop every bad thing that's happening?"... well... he can't. God cannot intervene with our free will, even if it is negative.
That's all i can say as of now. I can't force you to believe in him, but you asked for evidence. I presented. I respect your opinion of your faith.

Well, I can't make a believer out of everybody. Yes, we have a written book of word and people claim to be followers of god basically because he saved us from our sins and because of miracles and what have you. No, I don't have anything to show besides the 5 or 6 bibles that have been passed down to me and put on the shelf below my stuffed animals. Everyone has the right to choose their own religion, their own beliefs. Like I said before I've got nothing really to prove to you and I'm not going to force religion or any of my beliefs down your throat because that would be wrong and disrespectful of me.
Yes, I am a christian but I'm not glued to the bible unlike some of the people on this planet. I can't make anyone a believer. I know you want proof but unfortunantly I can't give that to you. If you want to believe then read the bible and believe. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
But as for the subject title, some religions don't mention their god or almighty being as female or male. They just say they believe there is someone or something that created life but they don't know what. Some believe life created itself. I could be wrong but this is where some of us get to do some research.
(I hate the caps lock, I'll probably find someway to break the key whodilly before the night is over with.)

i believe god is just a way for us to put blame on things other than ourselves. also, i believe that believing in God is also a way for us to have hope for something to happen. I do believe, however, that god is real. it's one of those things that anybody can believe in, or not, even though there's no true evidence of him being real or fake. you should only believe in him if u want 2. if u don't it really doesn't matter in the long run if u do or not.

I respect your opinion of your faith. Faith and hearsay with no way to independently verify your claims invalidate the bible. Now, if it were even historically accurate, it might be a little more credible, but you know, pretty much nothing from the bible has any evidence supporting it. I asked for evidence, you gave me a story.

Oh ya, Darknezz, you're really just wondering right? No, bullshit. You're trying to start a fight.
It's simple. There is no proof that there is a God. However there is no proof against it.
Do you really want an answer? Read the book Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Get the better story, and not yeastless factuality friend
