Ok, u have no idea how my life is or what my position is so you have no right to say anything like that. I'm 17 and If i went out and bought a 360, my parents would just return it. and not cause their dumb, but b/c they don't think that I should spend my money on video games. I'm trying to be nice about this whole thing b/c your pretty much being an not a very nice person and telling me I'm completely wrong about everything I just said.
You're 17? And you don't have the independace to say "f**k you" to your parents? Tell them that it's your money, you earned it by working (if you don't work and you're using money from your parents, then they do have the right to tell you not to buy a 360, get a job) and you're going to spend it on what you want.
Seriously I'm 16, I have a job and I buy what I want, I also give half my wages to my parents because they looked after me for 16 years of my life for free, they don't mind what I buy because it's not their money.
Also, protip: I'm not trying to be nice, I'm trying to be truthful. Most of the time, the truth isn't nice, just deal with it. :/
But those people can't be considered "social introverts". just b/c they want to finish a game doesn't mean they don't have a life. and unless YOUR a social introvert you can't be telling people if they are or not...I don't see a psychology degree on you. and I'm not claiming 4PP to be like everyone else. I was implying that YOU were saying that.
True, I have no Psychology Degree, but it is what I'm going back to College for in September to study it, and I've been studying nuts at home too.
Also, I haven't conducted a wide study, because I don't care too much about this topic, but all the "uber hardcore gamers" I knew from school are generally shut ins. I never see them outside, if I'm hanging about with them it's usually inside playing games and a load of the time, they're quite violent. I know 7 people who are like this, 3 of which moved away and I only talk to on MSN and Steam now, but something I've noticed is that since they started playing videogames for longer amounts of time, they have became more introverted and more violent.
Radical Idea: Staying inside for days to complete a game, may make you think doing this is acceptable, so a number of games you want to play all come out at once, you stay in to complete them, it takes weeks, you put your social life on hold to finish the games, when you come back, your friends have become slightly distanced towards you, hence, the beginning of an introvert. Repeat until you don't see daylight much.
Lack of googling ability?? I knew there was a rambo game, without even having to google it. Don't try to be a smartass about this, Because nobody says "go rambo" without thinking of the MOVIE. I don't think people plan there lives on "Going Rambo".........
Wow you're blind, read above where I talk about the games, nublet.
so what if i forgot?? nobody else cares......except for you..
It appears I am the only competent person in this thread then.
Because what you say and what you mean to say are two different things.
You are ridiculous. Everybody plays games to have fun, but playing games impacts a persons self-esteem by beating their friend or beating another player online or a specific game. Little challenges people set up for themselves not put into the game. thats what makes games fun. Making your own side-games in between seeing how many cans you can tip over.
What? No I just play the game and have fun, when I play Half Life 2, I follow the path to the end, when I play Garry's Mod, I build or roleplay, I don't make up silly goals to give my life some sort of worthless meaning. What are thinking?
I never said I was upset......I just don't like it when people tell me I'm Completely wrong with something I say when I KNOW I'm not. there are several other people on this forum that agree with me instead of you. you don't have to be an not a very nice person about it.
But, you're wrong, I also may just as well be wrong, but I can safely say that none of us are anymore right than each other until an indepth study has been done and positive results and been found. How can you know that you are right when you're just pulling nerd rage out of your ass?
"Wah he insulted games, game not cause violence parent fault there no way game cause violent dur was study which did not exist but i pretend it are exist."
I was trying to be nice.....I was TRYING to not get angry or anything b/c you were giving me a legitimate response and you had to take all that..........and really just piss me off. Either intentionally or unintentionally. either way I don't care. This is me saying right now that I dont' care what you respond, but I'm not gonna make a long post again against it. its a waste of my time, that I don't need to do to get some arrogant person to get off my back about something I brought up. So right now I'm not surrendering....so don't put that in your little quoted response from me cause im not. I'm simply stating I'm not gonna deal with your bullnuts anymore cause I have better things to do with my time. I tried to be nice and you just couldn't resist but to piss me off.I'm sorry if anyone feels bad about this but I have to say this cause riutse if pissing me off NOT cause he's making an argument.....noo...noo.noo that was not why I gave a response in the first place. but Because he took everything I said...literally everything like I did with him, and completely just says I'm wrong...so I'm not putting a response like this so you can just do whatever u want.
Hahaha, looks like I win this argument.
also if you can kill someone in a video game why would they do it in real life.
Videogames are only a release, a place to vent stress. If there's someone in real life causing you trouble, then it's quite easy to associate that person with say, an enemy in an FPS, just shoot him and him he won't be anymore trouble.
Heck even I think some people should just die and I'm sure that's a result of me playing too many videogames.
