This flu thing is a giant overreaction. Basically all you have to do to avoid it is to wash your hands constantly, especially before eating, avoid super public places like sports arenas, and make sure everything you use is clean. You could use a mask if you were super paranoid.
Theres only been like 2 deaths in the U.S., which were like 10-month old babies or something. It's sad that they died, but they don't have the same immune system older people do and couldn't handle it.
It's basically like the normal flu, you just can't get a vaccination. (I heard they're going to have one ready in about a month anyways)
So yeah. Act normally, just be more sanitary and careful. Thats all. You aren't going to be covered with boils and shit and then explode radioactive slime everywhere.

Well, wearing a mask doesn't actually do anything since the particles are small enough to pass through it. But if it makes you feel better then by all means.... And yeah just practice good higene, stock up on supplies for in case you get it, and avoid large public gatherings.

I have a feeling these warnings are like with Ebola Virus, how we were afraid at some point and a couple people dying across. I don't know... I have a feeling if we over exaggerate as if it is the end of the world.
I mean yeah, it is a flu virus that basically worsen and you could die from it if you don't treat it right away. But, come on only a couple people have died with it out of Mexico doesn't mean everyone could die. I mean we might have an outbreak of lots of people having doesn't mean they are going die. You just have to know the side effects you gain in about 48 hours and be more careful now.
So chillax... >.>

I'm pretty confident with my immune system. I'm just worried about my parents, grandparents and little baby cousins.

I'm pretty confident with my immune system. I'm just worried about my parents, grandparents and little baby cousins. Keep in mind that one of the more frightening things about Swine Flu is that it has killed mainly healthy adults. Most diseases kill the young r old, but Swine Flu killed 30-40 year olds.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu"It is estimated that anywhere from 20 to 100 million people were killed worldwide..." Now THATS a pandemic. That that figure includes millions of young adults, not just the young or old. Unless we see figures that are leading up to a death toll like that, this is just another bird flu situation blown out of proportions by the media and news. I'm definitely not saying we shouldn't take precautions against this, or that the actions of the goverments are misguided. Just like any other day we should prepare ourselves for any illness that could overcome us. Its just common sense to wash your hands or not to stand near that guy with the rough cough. If you do feel like you or someone you know (Most likely a child or elderly person) has flu symptoms then you should get them to a hospital asap. But for the love of Buddha, there's no need to go out gathering nuclear bunker supplies and surgeons masks (Which btw do sod all against the flu) because the man on the TV said so. I have a feeling that even if this does pass over and doesn't become a serious woldwide pandemic after all we'll still be hearing it on the news for about a year or so. Ugh.

:S is it bad that I went to Denny's, ordered from the breakfast menu and then asked for extra bacon with no swine flu?

I'd laugh but I'm sure a lot of other people probably think it's too soon to joke about it. I wanted to buy cherry tomatoes but all the packages said 'Product of Mexico', then I changed my mind. lol
