review sub-forum request

I (or someone else but being self will just say I) seem to have started a trend of reviewing games and posting said reviews in the forums, since this forum is about discussing video games and offering opinions, but we don't want the VG forum to be clogged with reviews i'm just making a formal request for a subforum to be built for review and the discussions thereof.
I also plan on making a thread there about reviews of reviewers....if that makes any sense at all (read it out loud a few times to get the gist if you don't understand)

and if i could write the guidelines thread for the subforum I'd be much obliged, mostly because i already have a few things in mind that could keep traffic jams to a minimum

i agree, if this is something that will only grow from this point on, i think it'd do well to organize the reviews into its own section.

Well, in order for this subforum to be created, we should create an "Official Review Thread" where people could write their reviews on the games they have been playing.

After this thread being well used, we might have a subforum created, or maybe a mod will be super cool and make it. ;D

One thread per video game would be nice. All replies could be other reviews or comments on reviews.

no, having review after review in one thread would be too disorientating, i was planning on one of two ideas:

Everyone posts a personal thread for their reviews or:

a sub-subforum (redundancy abounds) where the review sub is broken up into
360
ps3
pc
wii
handhelds
retro (last- gen and before)

so if you play say the 360 version of cod waw, you post your review into the 360 sus-subforum (seems weird but trust me, itll work)
oh and IF ANY MODS OR WHOEVER HAS THE POWER TO CREATE SUB FORUMS reads this please PM so we can work out kinks with other mods...how am i not a mod yet....nvm that, thats a different thread for a different day

I agree with this. It’d help keep the General Video Game Discussion forum less cluttered and it’d be easier to find other members reviews.

well hold your horses i didnt say it had to be like that, just doing some trial by error crap before the final build you know?
besides sophoras idea was the first thing i thought of but the second thing was just a suggestion

It's an interesting idea for the forums. However, I'm not too sure how active it'll end up, if there's not quite as many people that are willing to write up reviews. The sub-subforum for each console doesn't seem very necessary. Like sophora said, a thread for each video game is more appropriate. Ex. "Review of Killzone 2 (PS3)" would be a title enough for the game. I'll be sure to take this up with the other forum mods.

There's a big hole in that, though; People don't search or even pay attention a lot of the time. They'll make a thread for their review regardless of if there's a thread or not.

im kinda going on the as long as games come out there will be reviews for said games...unless there are no games coming out anymore...
plus the if you build it they will come factor (see art sub forum and debate sub forum...and the introduction sub forum...)
the everybody like to voice their opinions factor
and about the sub-sub forum thing, it was just a thought, not a definite thing i think should be there, seriously.
