Not really. All you have to do is put in a Windows XP CD, reboot, wait for it to say "Press any key to boot from CD" and then tell it to format your C:\ partition and then install Windows. Just make sure you have your motherboard's drivers disc (it came with the mobo) and your graphics card's drivers disc (which isn't necessary, because you can get them from the appropriate website.) I'll have to try that...personally I have nothing against vista I always see people crying about it saying it sucks it wont let them play games etc etc etc I just dont see whats wrong

Other than that, Vista is fine.

I did everything right but something seems wrong.
1. I set up the VH thing correctly and left it open 2. Whenever I went to run FMLE an annoying VH window would open, and I found out how to keep it from doing that, but I am unsure if it is a problem 3. Whenever I go to load the file you told me to download, it says some values were wrong and then it won't record the screen.
It just is a giant nuisance for me on how I can't set it up. FYI I run Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

FYI I run Vista Ultimate 64 bit. 1) Good for you. 2) If it's not opening any more, it's not a problem at all. Completely normal. 3) You downloaded the wrong file. Which version of FME are you running? The OS shouldn't matter. If you're running FME 3, download this file. If you're running FME 2.5, download this file. If the problem persists, please, post screenshots of the error, your FME window, and your VHScrCap windows.

Well, Tygore, you obviously didn't set it up right. Post screen shots of your VHScrCap window (both tabs) and your FME window.

Well, the issue with your sound is that you aren't running it from your onboard sound mixer. Click the drop down box and select whatever else might be there. Mine is RealTek, and I know a lot of mobos have that as their onboard, so if you see RealTek, use that.
As for the video, when it does work, being choppy and small; Turn up the video bitrate, auto adjust to 5 seconds. That should fix the choppiness.
It being small has to do with the "Tack Mouse" on VHScrCap's middle tab. Uncheck that. Then the selection window from the left tab will work.
Also, uncheck the "Optimize" boxes on the middle tab. I know my guide says to keep them checked, but I discovered that they're worthless for anything other than making your feed run at a low framerate.
