So David's playing of Last Hope and the release of Ikaruga has made me want to play some more. So I come to you to give me some suggestions. It would be nice if they aren't too hard to get a hold of (*cough*orcouldbeemulated*cough*). Thank you kindly.

Einhander! One of my favorite games that almost no one seems to know existed. (Props to cuzzy for mentioning it first)
Also, I don't know what consoles you have, but if you have a PS3 you must buy Super Stardust HD.
Oh yea, and if you can get a hold of a Capcom Play System emulator, there's a few good shooters to grab. The ROMs are easy to find.
