microsoft just announced that the 360 will be getting a new controller with a better d-pad most likely due to to the old d-pad being crap but also due to alot of releases coming soon ( fighting and sports games i assume ) . It will look basically the same as the old one and is set to release at the same time as pro evo 2009 ( or as i think its called in america winning eleven )

An updated D-pad would be nice, the old one is pretty awkward to use sometimes. Especially when you try to press one of the diagonal directions, like when you use the inventory in Oblivion.

yeah this d-pad uses an eight way button recognition the old controller used a 4 way recognition system making getting the diagonal directions really hard to use so it should be better

The 360 Controller is my favorite controller of all time.
(The Game Cube controller is a close second.)
I hope they don't mess this up.
