This thread is about talking about your recently played, bought, or beaten games. And if you would recommend them to the rest of the community, to help others know what games to buy.
I myself have just recently picked up a copy of Lost Odyssey, the graphics are really good and the fighting is pretty solid, I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who likes Turned-based strategies, or is interested in them.

As my first venture into Final Fantasy games, I bought FF3 (for the DS), and I bought FFX.
First off, Final Fantasy X:
I don't quite see why people bash this game. I'm on the third Cloister of Trials right now, and I am thoroughly enjoying the game. The Sphere Grid system is interesting, and it definitely makes things easier, but my main complaint is the scarcity of Ability Spheres. Seriously, I want my new abilities please. But yeah. Today I was in a boss fight with a Sin Spawn. It was probably the longest, most intense fight I had ever been in. It must've lasted at least an hour. The boss almost immediately killed Yuna, my only true healer, which left me up a creek when it came to not wasting potions. The boss fight went like this: Step 1: Kill head. Step 2: Kill arms. Step 3: attack body. Step 4: repeat step 2 and step 3 for an hour, as the boss's sheild arms regenerated. Step 5: Fight the boss 1 more time.
In short, Buy this game. If you are new to Final Fantasy (like me), it does a good job explaining things with tutorials and such. If you aren't, this game's epic battles will keep you entertained.
Next, Final Fantasy III (for the DS)
I can't say much about this game, because I haven't gotten very far. THIS GAME IS FREAKING HARD. Or I just suck at Final Fantasy. Either way, old school FF vets will probably enjoy it. The updated graphics look very good and serve their purpose well. New people to this series might have a hard time with this, as it basically throws you into the game with no explanation on what the hell you need to do. Example: In one of the first cities you go to, there is a cave in the back of the town. I went in there on my first time playing thinking I would be fine just exploring a little. The monsters inside KO'd my characters in 2 moves. Insult to injury: I thought, "Well it must've auto-saved when I walked into the town or something..." ... HELL NO. Also you MUST be in the world map to Save. Quick Saves are deleted Immediately after using them and aren't very usefull. People who have played FF games before are probably rolling their eyes at me, but I think its only fair that they implement some sort of beginner friendly saving system.
Basically, If you like Final Fantasy, and you know the ropes, this game will probably be enjoyable. New people can decide on their own, but beware... this game will not hold any punches.
