It crapped out for me for a little while. I had to click like above the message box to type. Stupid.

I had the same problem, all i did was right click then click select all and it let me type again.

It happens to me sometimes..I just go up to the address bar, click on it, then go back to chat and i can usually type.

type in the url box then type in the chat
