I call it 99% blizzlike because while the drop rates and XP are perfectly natural, quest items drop 100% of the time, as they should in any logical sense. Remember that quest for raptor heads, but the heads only dropped once in ever four or so raptors? Stupid, right? Now they drop all the time. The GMs and server owner tell me that the rates were unchanged, though, so it must be the emulator they use. Either way, it makes the game just a little bit better.
The private server's registration and forums can be found at tfaproject.org/
The server will run version 3.1.3. Make sure your client is up to date.
Once it is, go into the WoW directory (C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\ as default) and then into Data\enUS. There's a file called Realmlist.wtf. Make a copy of it and open it in Notepad or some other text editor (it doesn't really matter which). Then remove all of the text in it and type out (or copy and paste) the following:
set realmlist tfa.no-ip.org
Then just launch the game and log in with the account you signed up for on the TFA website.
If the game tries to auto update, make sure to close it.
If you ever want to go back to retail, simply move the modified realmlist.wtf somewhere else and rename your "copy of realmlist" to "realmlist."
