I decided I'd create the new topic, since I had a question I didn't want to forget.

How do you guys feel about certain genre stereotypes, and how they are either changing or not changing?

For example, resource gathering in RTSes, regenerating health in Third/FirstPSes, grinding in rpgs.

And if you don't like these returning aspects of these genres, how would you change them?

Do you guys ever feel guilty spending lots of money on video games? Sometimes its hard to justify spending $60 on new games that you know will get cheaper within a few months...
