Hello and Welcome, Its my, your pal RedUnit10. Today (Thursday, June 25, 2009) at 11:00 pm EST Brad requested titles of Survival Horror games he has yet to play, so lets do our best to answer that quest guys! Here are Brads rules: 1) NO PC games 2) Must be something he hasn't played 3) Must be a survival horror genre or similar 4) Brad has also asked it not be anything older then PS2 Graphics (This means no PS1 games) I did a bit of gaming research myself and here is my game pick for Brad: - Rule of Rose (PS2 Game) Link to Written Review from ACE GAMES: www.acegamez.co.uk/reviews_playstation2/Rule_Of_Rose_PS2.htmLink to YouTube trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZE3VYZm_F8

I'm sad he chose no earlier than the PS2, because Hellnight (a PS1 horror-adventure game) is friggin' brilliant...but alas.

Rule of Rose....that isn't really a scary or a good game. If he hasn't played it and willing to give it a shot, that's fine. I don't understand why this game keeps popping up here, it was one of the most broken games I've ever played. The story is fine, but the fact it is in such a game really overshadows the brilliance of it. Obscure, the first one, I think he should give a shot. He may want to play it with someone else. It's not necessary to play with someone, you can easily beat the game without taking advantage of the co-op gameplay, I've just heard it was fun to play with someone else. Kuon is a game I am not really sure he has played. The only footage I saw of his reaction was the game intro before you press start. This one is actually one of my favorites, but my taste in horror games is not Brad's cup. I saw how he didn't like the new Siren (and how unaware he was that there was an Archive section where the "Silent Hill Notes" are kept in to look at). So, this one, I'm not honestly too sure if Brad should play it, if he hasn't already. It's not similar to Siren, but it seems like he doesn't like the TOO Japanese horror titles. Yeah, Fatal Frame is Japanese, but it's really kind of a worldly sense of what many consider Asian horror to be. Kuon is influenced by older styles of Japanese horror stories. Speaking of Siren, if what I recall is correct and that he never beat the game, do try to finish it. It gets creepy and tense towards the end. Or import the European version of Siren 2 if he can. That game plays better than the original and is not as difficult. If Brad does read this, I thought I'd like to mention to him that someone is making an English patch for Fatal Frame IV, so when that project is done, maybe he could play that game. go to cameraslens.com forums for more info. I guess out of these, my choice would be Obscure for Brad. I'd suggest more, but he said no PC games

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Gamecube graphics, probably just on the border.

I heard of a good one...never played it though. It's called Indigo Prophecy. A couple of my friends have played it and i've jumped out of my seat a few times as i seen them play it. It's kinda like F.E.A.R. because of the supernatural storyline and the intense gameplay. I hope to for this during the feed!

I really doubt he'd want to play Rule of Rose. It's a little creepy, but I don't think it was scary at all (he won't be screaming from this game, that's for sure). I think he'd be more frustrated than anything because, as yanki said, it is a little broken. Hit detection is a poor, so you have to be precise with your timing or the enemies won't take the hit. I can see some of the characters being perfect fodder for insults and jokes though. *cough*Amanda*cough*
I would like to see a finish to the first Siren, but I doubt having to do a lot of the missions twice in slightly different ways would be well received. There's A LOT of items and events that can be missed in that game too.
I don't think Silent Hill Origins for the PS2 has been played, but I don't know how he'd feel about playing another Silent Hill. He should definatly stay away from the second Obscure though, unless he wants a game filled with cheese and extremely annoying characters.

All I can think of in the future would be the Saw game that is comming out in October 2009. But I doubt it would be that scary... Then again, I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, the first two Clock Tower games are too old for this. The first was for the SNES, then the second was for the PS1. I think there was a Clock Tower 3 for the PS2 or something, but I'm not sure what its quality might be. ...This, of course, is simply knowledge that I have gleaned from browsing Wikipedia and Youtube in my random searches for scary games. So don't place too much stock in my info. >_>

Brad may of too, but I know he never finished it.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Gamecube graphics, probably just on the border. This. I even made a thread about it recently. :3 Also, I have heard bad things about Rule of Rose. Like, it not being that good. people have different opinions though, so who knows.
