This year i think that the psp has a great selection of games and some of them might turn out really well . Although my PSP 1000 that i've had since the European release date is nearly dying(the battaries mess up sometimes). So i was thinking about buying a new psp but i don't know which one

I currently have a PSP 3000. Needless to say I love it to death, but the PSP Go looks so awesome. The real plus of the PSP Go is the harddrive and no UMD... sooo that's MORE portability. A 3000 is cheaper of course, but IMO I think you'd like the Go a bit more if you want a higher portability. If your ok with carrying around the UMDs and the Memory sticks, thats fine and a 3000 will probly be better for you. They plan to add all of your current UMD bassed games to the download service. So yea. Anyway heres a link to a post about the PSP Go I did with the features that we know of. 4playerpodcast.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gaming&action=display&thread=3803&page=2#56259

I choose PSP 3000, not because PSP Go is a bad idea, but it doesn't fit my lifestyle. I, being me, need a hardcopy of almost anything I buy. I also don't have a credit card, and I don't like asking my parents to use theirs, so buying straight from the PSP would be inconvenient.
I can see how it is useful for others, and I do like the design alot.

PSP 3000, you can still download those same games on it, you just need to upgrade the storage on your own.
You cant possibly trust them to put every single UMD game on the service until that actually materializes. Think PS1 releases on PSN. You gotta see it to believe it.

Well i chose 3000 mainly because the physical copy of games you get but if your not bothered about only digitally owning your games then go with PSP GO! its not a bad device, its just not for everyone.

I pretty much agree with everyone In that you should get the 3000 over the Go! That way you can still play the games you do have, and you never know how long it will take for them to make all the UMDs available digitally.
That and if you anything like me and have a shit internet connection, it may take you quite a while to download your previously owned games. Which isn't something you want to do as soon as you get it out of the box... well I don't, I want to play it straight away.

Those applications should be downloadable to the 3000 as well though.
