Ever read Nineteen Eighty-Four? North Korea is Nineteen Eighty-Four in real life.
That being said, I highly doubt they'd be much of a threat. Their not that advanced, we know their tactics (if they ever invade, Seoul would be taken in the first 72 hours).
The only reason North Korea exists is because China backed them in the Korean War, which I doubt they will do again.

"We could blast them back to the stone age anyway."
Aren't they already in the stone age?
I wouldn't say they aren't a threat, but they won't wipe the US off the map like they say they will.
Either way, I live in Pheonix AZ, which means I'm close to the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant, which means I'm at a potential risk, which means I'm gonna go into a Vault as soon as Vault-Tec emerges.

Am I a little nervous? Yes and tbh I think we should stop locking horns with north korea simply because they're not going to back down on their nukes. We need to talk to china and see what we can do to help them with some of their problems and thus seeing if they can help us with our problem a.k.a. N. Korea and trying to end their nuclear warhead creations. Head to head combat is just going to make europe even more angry with us. I think we need to talk to the countries and work this out. That's just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

They wouldn't ever launch any missiles. Like Mesna said, if they were to attack anyone, they would be demolished by pretty much everyone on Earth.

Iran in the middle of a Revolution, N. Korea threatening the very exsistence of the United States... Can this be the beginning of World War 3? All it takes is N Korea to invade Seoul, and bam we've got allies fighting left and right. And the Middle East is always in some sort turmoil, so conflict is bound to happen.
I dont wanna be drafted...

If they ever bring nuclear weapons into this, nobody will win because everyone loses when it comes to nuclear weapons. So I don't think they will use the missiles, only as a threat I bet. But if they really are pissed, Obama will find a way out of the mess hopefully, settle it down and get the world into a hippieland. Hand and hand, we all shall dance in a circle and sing about how much hippies the world is having. They wouldn't ever launch any missiles. Like Mesna said, if they were to attack anyone, they would be demolished by pretty much everyone on Earth. And of course they would be demolished by pretty much everyone on Earth!

All it takes is N Korea to invade Seoul, and bam we've got allies fighting left and right. And the Middle East is always in some sort turmoil, so conflict is bound to happen. I dont wanna be drafted... Lets not forget about shady Russia. That kind of situation would be an oppertune moment to take another country! ;D And the reason why we haven't done anything about North Korea in the past is because they are a real threat. Nukes or not. Kim Jong Ill has a million man army at the gates and an entire country willing to die for him. He's their closest thing to a god. They will never invade the U.S. unless they gain outside help (possibly China). China has every justified reason to take our country right now and even though that sounds very unpatriotic and wrong, it's the truth. If anything N.Korea doesn't want to attack us. Most likely they're using nukes as a means to strike back after we have invaded the country. Why? They're an independant, isolated country. Kim knows what he is doing to a majority of his people is wrong and more importantly he doesn't want American capitolism in his country. The country as a whole believes that we will try to take North Korea by force and they've been ready for an invasion since its birth.

As much as I wanna blame Western propaganda for the general outlook on North Korea, it seems that it really is some Orwellian pseudo-utopia with the younger generation being raised as military weapons or something similar. Saying that, I'd love to visit the country as a tourist just to see what it's like for myself.
North Korea definitely has some messed up priorities, as obvious as that sounds. I just hope, for the sake of North Korea's citizens, that it'll all be sorted out. I'm personally not that worried about their missile threats - it seems more like a bluff to me.
