I say Rock Band because i think it was the first to have the drums and the other stuff and i think guitar hero caught on to that and started doing that with world tour.

Rockband is the better game. It has better quality notes and sound, the songs were originals and not covers like GH1 and 2 were, and it has a wider variety of song choices. Since Rockband first had the "band" idea, it was easily more fun to play with groups of people. I started with GH 1 and 2, and I love them, still, but Rockband is definitely the better game.
...I want to play rockband now. D:

well, seeing that the creators of the first two GHs are now working on RB, RB has the experience. and, in my view, if you're handing off a series to a dev team that is known for having dieing series, i'd say RB would last the longest.
and oreo, the reason they had covers was because they didn't want to pay for the ridiculous licensing fees place make them go threw

I like the Rock Band series more because I don't have to constantly do hammer-ons and pull-offs, there is a ton of DLC, and I like the song selection a bit more.

I love Rock Band! I love the way the notes look also, in GH:WT it's very confusing to me and it doesn't look very clean to me.

and oreo, the reason they had covers was because they didn't want to pay for the ridiculous licensing fees place make them go threw I am aware. And I know harmonix left Gh for Rockband so they obviously wanted to take the game in another direction. And they did. And it's better off. And they took the chance with the licensing fees and they did fine, if not fantastic with it.

Rock Band. GH 1 and 2 were amazing but 3 just ruined it. Horrible overcharting on certain songs, and hammer on system was shit. Glad that Harmonix came back with Rock Band. Plus you have to admit, after RB came out Guitar Hero took things from it also such as the ability to still get star power while in star power mode. Also the DLCs of RB are just way more varied.

Rock Band, it's just the more mature game, if you can understand what I'm trying to say.
Plus Rock Band has more varied music. They also have a much better vocal part, and I'm all about singing. Also I just think rectangles look more natural than circles, especially when playing drums.
