What are some video game villains that you really felt bad for in the end? Like they were trying to accomplish something righteous and good but they were using the wrong means to achieve it.

Seeing as you stopped one question before asking mine, I'll ask it again Joe from Pennsylvania (sumerion12 in chat): When it comes to video game genres, have you ever come across games that try too hard to mix genres or just games that seem too focused on being "by the book" in terms of genres?

Bryan from Alberta, Canada. BRYN4444 in chat. Not sure if this has been asked before or not, so feel free to move on if it has:If you could choose to have one mechanic from a game, and apply it to every single game of that genre from now on, what would the mechanic be and what game did you get it from? Thanks.

What makes genres such as space combat and point-and-click adventure die out? It's a concern that RTS games are going the same way. Is it just lack of interest, or is it because the games lose sales when competing with Generic Shooter 87 and Halo 6?

Do you think it is necessary for a game to have Multiplayer in order for it to have long staying power? Are games really worth $60 if you play through the story only once (i.e. games that have 1 ending such as Dead Space and Bioshock)?

What games do you think had great ideas or innovations but the game itself was flawed?

I was just wondering, do you plan on coming back up for PortCon next year? And, if you do, will all of you go this time or just a couple of you again? It's probably too early for a definite answer, but I figured I would ask anyway.

Has there been a time where you were annoyed by a certain NPC/character, and that puts you to a point where you "kill" them? (For example, Slippy from Star Fox 64)

With the recent success of "Street Fighter IV",and the plethora of fighting games coming out this year (Blazblue,King Of Fighters,Tekken, and Marvel vs. Capcom), do you think the genre is going to make a comeback through the online community or is the death of arcades in America enough to kill the fighting genre?

Do you think that the Red Faction Guerilla multiplayer will have lasting appeal or do you think it will die out like the multiplayer in Grand Theft Auto 4 did?

What are your thoughts on the lack of bonus, unlockable single player content that doesn't comes with games these days? It seems now with this generation developers focus creating replay value solely in multiplayer, achievements/trophies and DLC, most of which is half assed a lot of the time. Games these days lack the classic types that made games fun going through again purely for enjoyment. Stuff like crazy cheats, costumes, items, modes etc. are hard to come by these days. What do you think about all of this?

Have you ever been forced to play a video game that you really didn't like? If so what game and why didn't you like it?
