Overall I'd say it was a great experience, was a huge fan of the original movie and loved the single player campaign. I didn't have the frustrations most other reviewers had with the game over it's difficulty, I died a few times but nothing major. (I swear it seems like most reviewers suck at videogames nowadays)
The ghost wrangling is spot on and is really fun and rewarding, they kind of went a little overboard later in the game with spawning ghosts that have standard lifebars and the soundtrack gets repetitive but those are my only 2 real complaints.
I went ahead and spent 60 bucks to buy the game but I have a good job that pays very well and the game was developed by a local nearby suburb in Dallas TX so I'd say if you have the money and like Ghostbusters go ahead and pick it up but if your strapped for cash rent it and you'll still get a very enjoyable experience.

FUCK! You beat me to a thread like this! I just beat the game about an hour ago.
After visiting the community forums for Ghostbusters, apparently the only decent version is the 360 version. Here are some reasons
PC: No multiplayer PS3: Graphics glitching, sounds off sync sometimes DS: Ask dafishies, i havent read anything on it. 360: Voices are off sync by a little bit. Wii & PS2: cartoony graphics, controls are a bit messed up
thats about it, but i would say despite all these little complaints, the game is amazing, it's got a couple scares here and there but nothing a true horror game

I bought the 360 version to, I agree bout the scares but you gotta admit that proprietary engine Terminal Reality built for the game is pretty darn good.
I still love the feel of wrangling the ghosts into a trap and trying to instant slam them into there, my only complaint still is those swarms of ghosts you don't trap but just have life bars. And the tiny complaint bout the repeating soundtrack.

I'm still kind of surprised that there were any scares in that game at all. :/

I rented and finished the PS3 copy today, since 360 version isn't available in EU yet. Overall I'd say it was fun, there was a few moments where the difficulty seemed out of whack (those overpowered stone babies). The PS3 version is bad though, the game seemed to crash while looking at a specific set of books in the library and one of the bosses had such bad frame rate drops that I started to feel sick.
I look forward to getting the 360 copy later when it price drops and convincing a friend to do the same. I'm sure it's a blast in co-op.
