Activision Threaten to stop supporting PS3 and PSP

I'm sure most of you have red about it already, here's the article from joystiq. Interested in what other people's views on it is.

I'd have to say, it's one of the stupidest things Ive ever heard!
If your still making money of a console, why would they come out and say they may stop supporting the systems. I'm sure they make enough money from there guitar hero games alone, to fund development for a ps3 game, and aren't they just doing a port of the 360 version anyway?
When they come out with a statement like this, it's makes the company look stupid and lazy, why walk away from something that's making you money.....awww...it grinds my gears haha.

All they would do is shoot themselves in the foot,the cost of developing for the PS3 proabably isn't more than what they would make with it being on the PS3.

Activision can't help it, they are at the bottom (imo). I just don't understand them. PS3 is their second leading money maker. The Wii is at the bottom of everything. I say cut off the support for the Wii.

The point or problem is they shouldn't need to cut off any console,they're Activision.

Besides being merged with Blizzard,any Guitar Hero game or Call Of Duty will sell millions of copies because those games supply both the "hardcore" and "casual" gamers.

Activison is probably at the top of game publishing right now,they could and do publish games for every console.

They even published and found developers to develop Call of Duty World at War for the PS2 and Xmen origins:Wolverine.

Activision is a company... and like any company they like money. Its a threat, they wont act on it because they will loose a huge load of money, and probably some stock, something in this day & age is already an issue.

They are trying to pressure Sony to cut the price of the PS3, I highly doubt they will actually cut support. If they do, then that'd be surprising.
