I am making this thread because I started thinking about a great game, and I wanted to ask if anyone else has played this game. Many people I talk to never have. There was this game that came out several years ago in 2001 called Eternal Darkness for the Game Cube. I found out about it several years afterward through my brother. He showed me some reviews, trailers, and game play videos. I was very interested in the game almost instantly. I spent a while trying to find it since it had become rare. I eventually got my paws on it, and all I can say was that I loved this game very much. It's a third person horror game, though it is mostly combat intensive, allowing you to even target monsters' body parts, and cut them off. (Watching zombies walk around smacking the air without a head is always funny. ) You can also use magic. No, not the typical fireball spell... It's actually original. Sometimes this game can be frightening... Eternal Darkness uses "sanity", a green meter that is almost as important as your health, to make the game even more frightening. You lose sanity by coming into contact with monsters. As your sanity meter lowers, many strange happenings start to occur, such as (These are hallucinations): blood running down walls, knocking at doors, and walking through a door only to have your head explode and die. These are only three, and, trust me, these can freak you out when you're off guard and not expecting them. Not to mention the frights the mansion you are in holds... (My brother did something terrible to me that left me paranoid for weeks) Your health also begins to decrease once your sanity gets low enough. The game progresses by playing the part of people in the past that experienced unimaginable horror, informing the modern day Alex, who is reading about all of these people, about what terror lurks beyond the veil. These people go as far back as the Romans, leading up to World War II, and up to modern day. These is weapon variance depending on the time period the character is in as well. Eternal Darkness is a game with a dark and interesting storyline, scary original monsters, and great horror elements. If you haven't played this game, check it out if you want. You can find some things out about it on youtube, and if you want it, you might be able to find this in a gamestop if you're lucky, or other store. If you want to know anything else about it, let me know.

Silicon Knights should've made a sequel to this game instead of trying to develop Too Human for years.

Bathtub :[!!!
That was a great game. I loved the sanity parts... until they started repeating. About halfway through the game you kind of became immune to the sanity meter stuff and got used to it happening. I just wish that once you reached a certain point in the game, there would be new hallucination things, but they kept repeating. *I died a lot, though, so maybe it was just me sucking.* But all in all I did enjoy that game a lot, and it was very original and very fun to play. Nice post.
