What do You Think About the Sonic Series?

My very first video game was Sonic on the Genesis, so that makes me sort of a big Sonic fan. I always remember times when I used to spend all day beating the game on Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The faster pace compared with Mario was just great, and the music was terrific.

As Sonic entered the 3D world, I still enjoyed a few of the early 3D games, like Adventure 1 and 2. But the 3D games after Shadow the Hedgehog started to feel a bit....not the same for me. The Sonic on the 360/PS3 was a huge disappointment, and I really wished that they had spent more time on it. (They said that it was released in it's beta form, right?)

And now I'm seeing lots of hate from people on the Sonic series these days. Though, the Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush games are great, but it seems that the people who hate the series never tried those and look at the few bad games that Sonic has. Just makes me kind of sad to see Sonic not being as sucessful as Mario has become.

I stopped caring after Sonic 3d Blast came out. Sonic Adventure 2 was the last one i played though.

Sonic Adventures 2 was the last good one. Raising the Chaos was really fun

loved em all, even adventure, though sonic and shadows portions should have been in side-scrolling ala sonic 1-, whatever it is when they were like that.

then i played sonic heroes', the opening theme gave you such promise, then you play it and oh dear.....

I liked sonic when he was in a 2-d world, maybe it was because I was a kid and stuff, but the old games used to be really fun. When it went 3-d, it got sucky, last sonic game I enjoyed was Sonic Adventure Battle 2. :C

I only played one of the games on SEGA, so I really don't know. The rest of the games seem pretty crud from what I have seen.

Sonic used to be good until 360 version came out and the other ones after that sucked huge penis
