Excited about Left 4 Dead 2?

I was looking at some gameplay footage of left 4 dead, and I was wondering what everyones thoughts on it are. I won't state my opinion here, because i want to know what you, the community of 4pp, think.

Loved the first one but the only complaint was that there was only a few stages hopefully this one the bring a bunch more and have DLC maps this time around haha.

2 reasons

1. Wait did we wait 4 years for L4D 1 and then the survival pack when there is a L4D2 thats coming this year?

Not excited, but i will get it. I'm not bothered how soon we are getting it or the fact that its not an expansion or DLC. To me its just more maps to kill hordes of zombies on with a few extra special types. I'll still play L4D1 and the only problem i have with L4D2 atm is the atmosphere of the game and i don't know why the gameplay i saw of it when they were running around killin during the day time i dunno it just killed the feel of the game looking at it, but as i said i'll still get it that won't kill the game for me.

I'm not sure. I've played the first L4D a few times on campaign and I just loved the rush... xD. I should get back into that. If the second L4D is anything like the first, then yeah I'd look forward to it. : P

Wow! We will be getting L4D DLC!

Exactly one year later, we get a god damn new L4D when nothing new was needed. DLC could of added in Melee, Maps, and a New Infected. And I am pretty sure that the new characters will suck.

Not really excited. I haven't seen any gameplay footage, but I'm sure it'll be really close to the first one. Different characters, different maps, different weapons. Sounds like CoD:WaW. I'm still going to pick it up though. You can't go wrong with chainsaws and zombies.

Not really. Looks like a $60 expansion. I wish VALVe would hurry up and finish the Half Life 2 saga first.

I mean you get such a cliffhanger ending on Episode 2, and then we wait. L4D comes out and we're like "Cool. A full price mod....Episode 3 VALVe?" then they announce L4D2 a year later. <_<

I was more annoyed when they announced L4D2. They didn't support the first game that well. And now it'll will be worse trying to support 2 communities. It should be a £20 expansion game. I guess L4D was a £40 beta then.

So far I'd say yes. Cause they've already shown a lot that's coming for L4D2.

Not really.. like AdjacentKitten said, we waited 4 years for L4D, and now there's a sequal coming.


And, the original characters are gone. Bleh.

I might give it a look, and I am not disgusted at valve for making another sequel rather than new DLC. But there are just many games I want, Crackdown 2, Mass Effect 2, and many more (it's a great year for new video games.)

Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't make me raise an eyebrow at all, but I might get it after I get all my favorite games coming this year/next year.
