1. Monster Hunter Series (PS2/PSP) 2. Halo Series 3. Elder Scrolls Oblivion 4. Final Fantasy VII 5. Jade Cocoon I'm not entirely sure however, Monster Hunter is my top because i love that each enemy had its own style and you had to learn that if you wanted to win, know its weak points, how it attacks, know when to dodge etc.. as for the rest they were all great games and i would have also added Grandia in there from the PS1. There are loads of games i really loved too hard to choose from them all which i loved more.

1) Final Fantasy Tactics (the only game I've played through totally 4 times)
2) Civilization 4 (an incredibly enjoyable game which I can easily spend 6 hours at a time, forget to eat both lunch and dinner, and still feel like I haven't wasted my time)
3) Zelda: Wind Waker (unfortunately I've never played A Link to the Past because I've not been much of a console gamer in the past, however this game has an amazing art style and easily the most robust and interesting combat system of the 3d Zelda games. It's art style is so good that I picked it up last year to play it again and I still though it looked great even on standard def and on a Gamecube)
4) Grim Fandango (The themes to the different areas were extremely well fleshed out, especially the one based on Casa Blanca. I played it recently and even though it's well over a decade old, I still really enjoyed it and the art assets really held up well. That says a lot for something that is so old.)
5) Braid (The game was mindbogglingly amazing and the twist at the end just blew my mind. Having to think in the 4th dimension really made the puzzles a lot more interesting and challenging. When my parents came down to vist me I had to show them it.)

My top 5 are: 1. No More Heroes 2. Metal Gear Solid 3 3. God of War 4. Okage: Shadow King 5. Sparkster (SNES)
No More Heroes is my absolute favorite game. Metal Gear Solid 3 comes in at a close second. The storyline was convoluted (as with most MGS games) but the additions to the stealth element of the game were more than pleasing. The CQC system, camo system, and the survival system made this game a joy for me to play. God of War had a good story but sometimes the dificulty of dealing with certain enemies and the frustrating difficulty of some of the later puzzles made the game feel hard on the normal setting.
Okage is up there because I personally feel like it is a totally underrated RPG. Sure it isn't as good as the Final Fantasy series but it was a fun adventure RPG with characters that each have a personality of their own. Also, the artstyle of the game was influenced by "The Nightmare Before Christmas" which was a big hit in japan. The quirky humor combined with the unique characters gave the game it's own charm. Unfortuantely, the combat in the game feels kind of weak.
Sparkster is last on my list. Those who have played "Rocket Knight Adventures" for the sega genisis will recognize this game. It's a side scroller/adventure game in which you play as a knight, who is a humanoid opossum, clad in blue armor with a rocket strapped to his back. The fact that he is opossum-like gives him the ability to hang from trees. He fights using a sword that can shoot a sonic slash that hit enemies from a distance. Holding the attack button allows him to charge his rocket booster so that he can launch himself in to the air and at enemies. Because of this though, some people think this game is kinda like Sonic the Hedgehog.
These are my top 5. Those looking for something unique or wanna try something new should look into the last two games on my list.

1. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion 2. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 3. Fallout 3 4. Mass Effect 5. The Darkness I'm not positive if these are truly my top five. I'd put up a few Resident Evil games too... I love so many of them though. >_< I'm not sure if this is the correct order since it's hard to put them in a list like this. xD I love many other games, but have not beaten them, and I don't want to put them up as favorites until they have been completed, like Persona 3+4, and Tales of Vesperia.

1. Metal Gear Solid: Played through twice 2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: Played through three times 3. Shadow of the Colossus: Played through four times (four times!? wtf?! ) 4. LittleBIGPlanet: Time wasting bastard 5. Fallout 3: Played through once (took long enough ) These are the games I keep in high value. I don't play PC much, after I finally quit playing WoW (too addictive). I also keep RE series in high value (played RE5 co-op too much ;D).

1) Silent Hill. The greatest idea for a video game, in my opinion. An adventure game with horror elements, psychological thrills, scares, occult circles, drug dealing, and love. Albeit the graphics and controls were hard to get back to, I recently played through it and realized the complexities of the story, the imagery, and the amount of power behind the messages. Several scenes of the game, although including terrible voice-acting, are extremely emotional and powerful (i.e. Harry's realization of his daughter's power, waking up after collapsing in the hospital and finding Lisa in the Nowhere, and then the final Lisa scene altogether).
2) Fatal Frame 2: The Crimson Butterfly and/or ICO. FF2:TCB is simply the scariest thing I've ever played, maybe even seen. My inherit fear of ghosts, Japanese horror, and Asian subculture and that whole Shinto sacrifice idea creates a completely terrifying experience. The gameplay is damn fun too, one of my favorite features of the Fatal Frame series is the stumble feature. That after every attack, no matter your character's health, you stumble or walk slowly for a bit. Little things, but very cool idea. The combat is simplistic, but fun, and the puzzles/mazing is nice and very creepy. ICO was the first adventure game I really enjoyed. A "sword", a boy, and a girl. That's it. As with several other people, I didn't think this would work at all...but, damn, this game was one of the best experiences of my young life. featuring some of the best puzzles, some of the best platforming, and the greatest half-silent storyline ever...just come together to make it perrrrfect.
3) Fallout (1). A timed game. Most would think this would seal the fate of a game to eternal doom. Isometric view, same deal. Not. At. All. This game, this game right here, was the sole reason I played games from 2000-2002. The ridiculous amount of imagination I could put into it, the lack of background on characters creates the ability to create your own image of your character, but the thing that is better yet is the amount of replayability. I've made several stealthy characters that beat the game, a few sweet talkers (which Speech can actually be used to avoid any fight with a sentient being, unlike in the abortion of Fallout 3), and a lot of bruisers where I kill some people in the hub town and steal their shotguns and run n' gun. Just fun, a wealth of storyline, and a great sense of adventure.
4) Parasite Eve. Same with FFT. Great story, some gripes with the cheese or lines, and the lack of voice-acting is meh. Then again, the friggin' PE system, the weapon customization, the exponentially more difficult enemies sometimes (those apes, raptors, whatever in the Police station...ugh), and the very cool biological connection and actual scientific connections make for a slightly believeable and awesome storyline with great gameplay.
5) Final Fantasy Tactics. One of the most amazing video game experiences I've ever come across. Although I do find the story really great, it lacks sometimes with cheese and over-dramaticism. The gameplay, however, is the legendary aspect. An almost perfect job-class system (stupidly powerful Samurai and Calculators), great skill system that makes you want to work on all your characters, and a great map system that links it all together rather well.

1. Final Fantasy X The first game I ever played with such a gripping and powerfull story, completely changed the way I think about games.
2. Valkyria Chronicles Another powerfull story that really made me think afterwards. It also had one of the most shocking plot twists I've ever known.
3. Final Fantasy VIII Yet another great story. I really identified with Squall's character when I first played through this game and that made it a lot more powerfull to me.
4. Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) This is really only here for nostalgia reasons. I played this game an insane amount when I was a kid.
5. F-Zero GX This game had me hooked, completing story mode on very hard is the hardest thing I've ever known in a game, but I was determined to finish it. Must have took me at least 6 months to finally finish the damn thing and the sense of relief afterwards was awesome.

1. Tetris - Still addicting and my most favorite game of all time. 2. GTA Vice City - Best game out of the series IMO. Loved the setting! 3. GTA San Andreas - Alot of things to do, alot more features. 4. Super Smash Bros - I first played this title during the winter of 2009. Man, I didn't know what I was missing. Ex-girlfriend got me hooked on for a while. 5. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Easily one of my favorites. From the graphics to the gameplay.
