So who's picking up this new fighter and for what system? Maybe we could set up some online matches amongst the 4PP forum community. If you haven't heard about it, just take a look at the game here.

I got my pre-order in for the 360. I'm hoping there's gonna be a solid online community for this with "Street Fighter IV" still bringing people in and "King Of Fighters XII" coming out a week later. I popped in "Soul Calibur IV" after a few months and I can still find matches no problem.
In the meantime though I've been checking out video after video, reading up on the game, trying to learn the mechanics before I get some actual hands-on experience. I own "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core" but I haven't given it much attention because it's such a late installment in the series that all the techniques, and characters, and roman cancels and whatever........are a little overwhelming. "BlazBlue" is a fresh start. 10 characters. Not a whole lot to learn. Based on my impressions so far, either Taokaka,Bang,or Litchi will be my main.
Here's a good trailer for those who are just hearing about the game...

Ah, I pre-ordered it for the PS3 a couple weeks ago. It looks like there will be a lot of Ragna and Jin players online. I'm going to try to master Noel and Arakune first before I try out other people.
Anyways, I pretty much did what you did, rigvertigo. I was a bit overwhelm when I tried Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for PSP. There was a lot going on with the mechanics since it was my first time trying out Guilty Gear. Ergo, Blazblue looks interesting and I'll definitely get the battle system down since I'll be using a PS3 controller rather than a PSP for fighting.

I've been checking out the Dustloop forums alot recently and some people are actually COMPLAINING that casual players will choose Ragna and Jin. Well, there's only 12 characters (including the bosses).....should NO ONE choose them? It reminds me of everyone who bitched about the Shoto players in Street Fighter.
I was worried about using a 360 controller for Blazblue, but playing SFIV eased my fears. I'm still gonna look into getting a hori stick to see if it improves my game at all.

PS3 version for me. The game is going to be Remote-Play compatible. Remote Play isn't the best thing, but that's an awesome feature for PS3 owners.

My brother plans on getting it for the 360 as soon as he gets enough money. I'm very excited. I really liked Guilty Gear, so, this game looks promising. Also saw an imported version that was fully translated on JTV. A lot of humor makes up the game, or so it would seem.

I preordered online for the PS3 version along with the special bonus art book with overnight shipping. Can't wait for this game. I've tried playing it on the Xbox 360 at a friends house, no, just no. I hate the 360 controller for fighting games.
Hakumen, Taokaka and Bang are the characters I'm looking forward to learn. Hakumen because he deals crazy damage and looks like Justice, Taokaka because I love cats, and Bang for his install.

this game is amazing, possibly one of the best 2D fighters I've played. Sadly I am stuck playing it on the Xbox which will force me into buying the fight pad for it, but it'll be well worth the investment.
At the moment my best character is Jin but I really want to become better with Noel, because seeing her combos is just sexy, lol, but if anyone is up for a match on live just add me and I'll be happy to play you or get some achievements :]

Noel is SUPER cheap. My little sister, who doesn't play video games, totally busted my a** in the arcades with Noel. I had Jin. All she did was mix in her fierce with her special move, pressed by either "A" or "D", depending on your configuration. The game is amazing, but I'm kinda bummed that there are only 12 characters.

I'm planning to import it from the US for my PS3 but it'll cost roughly £40, including P&P. Grr. Should I wait it out?
