So I was wondering, which president has done a better job (so far), I want to know everyone else say and describe who they think was doing a better job. George Bush or Barack Obama?George W. Bush vs Barack Obama
While this sets up for a nice debate, please, introduce your topic and take a stance on the issue you're introducing when you post a new thread in the debate forum. [/blockquote]

Obama looks so damn chill in a suit. But to expand, while Bush did enact several things that have irreversably changed the country for the worse, and possibly the world, Obama can't do this all in one term, even two. I'm all for Obama, and I expect the change he promised, but I don't think that he'll deliver everything. It's easy to say things before being thrust into the political machine. Even so, who wins? Well, as rabbese said, what's to win? In term of who's better, I still think it's too close to call. Obama has definetely shown promise in several things, but he still doing some things that Bush did too (the bailout loans). More time will tell.

Bush is none-too-bright, while Obama is a very bold liar.
I also find it annoying how nearly everyone that I know and have asked said they voted for him, "Because he's black."
Hopefully in the next 4 years he proves me wrong, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but so far he doesn't seem all that promising.

What? Who wins what? Being a better president? Getting us into the most wars? Flipping off the camera the most? Bush really and quite obviously wasn't prepared for what he was thrust into on 9/11. I'm sure he was expecting smooth sailing, maybe get into a sex scandal or two, like his predecessor. And yes, of course, he wasn't the best speaker. Obama was campaigning on fixing our problems, and changing the way we try to fix them. To be honest, I think Obama's problem, is he is too good of a speaker. People genuinely believe what he says, and document every single thing he does say. It's no news that politicians lie a lot. Their reasons for seeking the White House are questionable. Wanting to fill his daddy's shoes on one side, and having a massive ego on the other side. But at this point comparing them as presidents is impossible, Bush has 8 years, Obama has 6 months. Lets go ahead and wait on that. See, kids, this is how you should debate. -Darknezz

as an outsider to America, from what i've heard so far Obama was a let down and bush was just a plain moron. lets not bash Obama too much as he has only been a president for a short time but so far all i know is that he said he would stop the current war, but instead he is sending more troups, lets face it he's a lier and America needs help with how to select a president. so no matter who was better, America still loses out big time.

Obama has stated that he will be pulling out all troops by next year. its good that he is and everything but how can obama be a dissapointment? he's only been in office for a couple of months. did anyone actually expect that obama would be able to change the world as so many people seem to think? no. in truth, i dought that obama will be able to do anything. obama is the stepping stone to help out the next president. he will start up programs and plans and what not but they will only be useful after he has left office.

I can't choose right now. As of this moment I'm a bit nervous about obama. He is appointing czars left and right, spending tons of money (OUR MONEY) and where is it all going to? He is trying to get major companys out of bankruptcy when really they should just fail and start over. Not only that but he should be helping the smaller companys stay in business. After all the small business's are the backbone, we're the spine for this country, we are what makes up this country, right? People have been losing their jobs and I just don't know now... I just don't know if he is even the right guy for this job. *shakes head* I am a bit worried. People say they voted for him because he is black, he hasn't been corrupted, he's a good man. He'll do well. WELL? Guess what I'm not feeling so good about their votes at this moment. I see myself having to pay a hefty check just to get myself and my own kin out of a hole that the government help f***ing make! > btw, no offense to russia, but czar sounds like a bad thing, a zit that I want to get rid of immediately, if you will. I have to agree with Zek, we're not miracle workers, we're not magicians. We can't change the world's opinion of us within a few months. We just can't. Yes, there will be people out there that will always be against us no matter what we say or do. That's life for you, we're not perfect, no one is perfect. Btw, we're not all that bad. The media just makes us look that way. And it's not that we need help with our political system, it's just that the right person for the presidential seat hasn't made themselves known yet. Which brings me back to my original statement, it doesn't matter who we (americans) choose, there will always be someone who will not be happy with our choice. Once again, I can't say who is worse at this time. Massive Edit: sendables.jibjab.com/originals/hes_barack_obamawrestled a bear? O.o Don't know about that. Nice ears btw.

Bush is complete.. ugh. Can't even describe it. But, we must be in the Matrix. Did everyone see that shoe video?! That was a ninja dodge, man! Anyways, Obama is making some very good strides for the better of the people. He is a wonderful public speaker, and is very literal. He's been doing quite well, and has a very high approval rating. (It's it like, 60-70% or something?) I'm all for Obama. -Shou~

I don't really think we can yet compare considering Obama isn't even 1/4 through his term.

Bush had his chance as made a huge fool of himself plenty of times. Obama is trying to not make the same mistakes that Bush did, He doesn't want to send 10,000 troops into Korea just because of a threat, he is taking his time.
