Whats the best online multiplayer game for the PS3???
i might get a PS3 and i feel like playing online.
so far ive heard Killzone 2 was.
What do you think???

scince you put killzone 2 down, i assume you want a shooting game
but are you talking about system exclusives or multi system games?

Whats the best online multiplayer game for the PS3??? Ok well 1. the best is really based on opinion, 2. Are you looking for a shooter? I'm guessing yes. ANYWAY. Lets see. I'm only going to talk about the few I have... cuz my brain is fried and I cant think of any more. Killzone 2 - Love it Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Metal Gear Online) - Love it SOCOM: Confrontation - Meh... Resistance 2 - AWESOME Coop... Never played multiplayer competitive. Resident Evil 5 - Coop  . Competitive but meh... On the flip side... aka unreleased. M.A.G. Uncharted 2 Downloadable... Fat Princess (Not a shooter) the beta is still damn cool though. Battlefield 1943 Theres more of course but like I said, brain = fried. My suggestion to you is GAMEFLY. Totally worth it. |

Hmm.. I have to agree with most of the other people here.
Resistance 2 Has a better improved multi player system than the first 1 with coop added too. With better weapons and upgrade systems.
Metal Gear Solid 4 has a pretty good population from my exp. on the CAN/US region. It's pretty fun, with pretty cool maps and character customizations. One problem is it is frustrating at start, skills improve on what your character want to be and make them pretty powerful like Assault rifles and super box skills. Make sure you auto match or find rooms with ppl your lvl.
Call of Duty games I don't really play these series on the PS3. But I have once or twice, community is really big on call of duty. It easy to get in it yet it is competitive and addicting also can get frustrating at times.
Warhawk meh...... decent average amount of players play it. It is an Online only game where you play in massive battles on huge maps. It is similar to what I have to say like SW battlefront and Battlefield series. It's fun to blow stuff up, roam in vehicles but, I think it gets old really quick imo.
Killzone 2 has a massive population/community with new soldier classes, Rankings, Clans and etc. It isn't like Call of duty or halo but it is a fun one. Just has bigger battles takes awhile to unlock all the weapons you want to use in the game. Sometimes the battle do get old like its all about cornering you enemy in tight spots. So if you like getting ambushed or ambushing people and blasting the hell out of them. Give it a try.
Well this just an OPINION on games you might wanna play with some cool Multi player for the PS3. But, I recommend renting them or borrowing and check out the online before you buy?

Yeah I hated that, I tried to play with plenty of people that just killed everything and wanted to skip every cutscene so I was practically just standing there... Killzone 2 feels kinda like Battlefield 2 (PC) but its more 'heavy' feeling and you really gotta know the capabilities of each class to not get owned by em... It is really fun but I was disappointed by the unlocks/ranking system, a mere 24 hours of online gameplay and I unlocked everything... I'd like it to take longer haha... Metal Gear Online is excellent, but the learning curve is extreme and its hard to keep at it when the pros are owning you haha... I wish there was more of a tutorial for each game mode because they're so different and it just kinda throws you in, but again it's all about the experience when you're not a noob anymore, haha... I can see countless hours being played on it to get better and better if it weren't for the intimidation from better players  I personally don't like Resistance 2, Uncharted, or LBP.. the first 2 just feel like generic shooters with nothing special, and LBP just isn't my kind of game... just opinions I don't know if you have a 360 already so you might have played it already, but Call of Duty 4 is probably the absolute best online FPS there is imo.. it's just really well made, fun, and the prestige system (which I think is in the PS3 version.... right?) generates DAYS of gameplay without feeling entirely repetitive |
