Sure, there's 4PP, and all their additional bonuscasts, but there are a lot of other podcasts out there.
So here's a couple questions for you guys. How did you get into podcasts? What was the first podcast you listened to? And at this moment, what podcasts do you listen to, and why?
I got into podcasts with Diggnation, hosted by Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht. I moved on to listen to a lot of tech podcasts, like This Week in Tech, and Leo Laporte's radio show. Every other podcast I listen to I discovered through word of mouth, or associating something I really liked into the iTunes podcast search, and trying some of the results out.
Currently I subscribed to:
Adagio TeaV - I'm a little bit of a self-proclaimed Tea Nut. It's nothing I get out of control about, but I enjoy tea, and Adagio is where I got most of my supplies from.
Blizzcast - As a big fan of Blizzard, I find their interviews with developers and employees about upcoming projects to be informative and interesting. Problem being their update schedules.
Bungie Studios Podcast - I'm ashamed to say I subscribe to this one just for Luke Smith, former 1UP employee. But with my upcoming purchase of Halo: ODST, it makes it a little better that I listen to it.
Diggnation - Pretty self-explanatory. Bunch of dudes on a couch, drinking beer, talking about tech. It's entertaining as all hell.
Downloadable Content, The Penny Arcade Podcast - This one is awesome, because I not only get to experience the making of the comics, but these two guys are insanely funny.
Dungeons & Dragons Podcast - This one is great for learning how to become an effective DM, and they follow through on quests for different groups, splitting them into parts.
Giant Bombcast - My favourite podcast for gaming news and entertainment.
A Life Well Wasted - Robert Ashley's brilliantly edited podcast about different topics in gaming.
Out of the Game - Five people who know more about games than most people know about their mothers.
Rebel FM - The guys behind Eat Sleep Game talking about what they talk about best: games.
SModcast - Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier, oh my god, this is my favourite podcast. Ever. It's a treat to get a new one every week.
Tiki Bar TV - Sparsely updated, but very entertaining with each episode.
The Totally Rad Show - Alex Albrecht from Diggnation, with Jeff and Dan, talking about games, movies, comics, and TV shows.
Listen UP - Garnett Lee, David Ellis, and Jon Davison, all talking about games, in one of the smartest, funniest podcasts out there.
Retronauts - Jeremy Parish and guests talking about retro games!
EDIT: Yeah, it's a lot, I'm surprised I have time for a life!
