Updated my Original Post with: A new scan: Scan from an unknown magazine, found on Xbox Evolved. Plus, I also added the rocky plains looking level from the scans to the Confirmed Levels section. EDITHigher quality/colored versions of the images from the scan have been found, thus the scan has been removed from the original post. Also, that rocky plains level turned out to be Namek. The sepia tone threw me off.

Updated my Main Post with the following: 6 New Images: Above images found from foreign website everyeye.it on May 26th, 2009. 1 New Character Confirmation:- Freeza:
- Final Form 100% Full Power: 100%
New Speculation Entry:May 26th, 2009:As I'm looking at the newest images I found, I'm noticing some very good fine details: - The characters eye's follow each other.
- Fingers and hands of characters don't look blocky anymore.
- More facial expressions.

Dragon Ball Raging Blast? Since when was that a good idea for a subtitle?

Dragon Ball Raging Blast? Since when was that a good idea for a subtitle? The subtitle comes from Japan. Who knows what goes on in their heads. Besides, the game might be renamed here, like the previous Tenkaichi games by Spike were renamed from "Sparking!".

Looks alright. I always liked the 3D Tenkaichi fighting rather than the 2D Budokai fighting.
Now if it's released without the whole DB/Z/GT roster, I don't think it's worth getting. I rather wait until a full roster of the Dragon Ball universe.

Though the 2d fighting in Budokai was more intense IMO.

Updated my Main Post with the following: New Information:Information found from the Atari France Website before it was removed: Frame rate: 60 fps Characters: 73 (not including transformations)Arenas: 10 Online: "Big Tournament" online up to 16 Players Story Mode: 100 Chapters 4 New Images: Above images found at xboxevolved.e-mpire.com on May 28th, 2009. They may be replaced with higher quality images if/when they are found.New Speculation Entry:May 28th, 2009:With the newest information found (located under the game title above), a lot of fans have their hopes high. The character roster is down from BT3, now only having 73 characters with an unknown number of transformations. So, possibly around the same number from BT2. There are also less stages, but the stages may be much larger in size. There may be an Online mode with a cap of 16 players, most likely not all at once, but in a tournament style mode. I wonder if that will mean spectators watching, or everyone competing in a battle at once, until the tournament is narrowed down. Also, 100 chapter story mode sound good, but with a story that big, I don't expect a lot of effects or cutscenes. Maybe just images talking. Who knows. EDIT: Also, I should quickly say that the scan from the unknown magazine was removed for all the images in it have been scanned separately with better quality.

They really need to pull something new out of the hat for me to get this one. IMO, I don't want a rehashed version of B/BT with (seemingly) less content.

Updated my Original Post with: Information:I reworded a few things in the info area at the start of the post. Also, although suggestive/ridiculous, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast (Note the loss of the Z) looks to be the worldwide title for the game. Added Footnote: Some conflicting articles coming out of E3 say that the character amount is '70+' not counting transformations, although official Japanese articles say otherwise. New Video:Official Trailer - June 3rd, 2009[ Official Japanese Site] [ YouTube - High Quality] 2 New Images: Above Images found on an Italian YouTube Snapshot video on June 3rd, 2008. The images were taken from the Namco Bandai DB:RB E309 Demo Booth. Updated Confirmed Character Roaster:Also added footnotes. - Goku:
- 'Base form': 100%
- SSJ1: 100%
- SSJ2: 80%‡‡
- (Teen) Gohan:
- 'Base form': 99%‡
- SSJ1: 100%
- Cell:
- First and Second Forms: 99%‡
- Perfect Form: 100%
‡These forms have a high chance of official confirmation due to a higher form of the character shown, and lower forms of other characters being shown. ‡‡These forms have a above average chance of official confirmation due to their disputed appearance in a video or image.Updated Confirmed Attack/Ability List:Also added footnotes. - Death Ball [Freeza†]
- Kaioken [Goku†]
†Only slight possible glimpses of attack/ability have been seen.Updated Confirmed Battle Areas:- Cell Games Ring (seen in June 3rd trailer video)
- Some sort of rocky plains (from the May 24th scan, and in June 3rd trailer video)
New Speculation Entry:Also condensed and removed outdated 'speculation' entries. June 3rd, 2009:The first official video has been shown and it looks very nice. But with it, brings more questions and worries. The video itself looks to be of opening cinematic quality, with Pre rendered models as well as a bit of in-game models (with a slight dynamic camera used for the trailer(?)). - A CG video that doesn't look bad
- Cinematic move executions
- Maybe the return of Story cutscenes?
Also, the latest screens from the Namco Bandai DB:RB E309 Demo Booth shows the DEMO'S character selection and controls. They show the player having to choose their transformations and no controls to do them in battle. This may mean that in-game transformations are gone, or that this is still a DEMO and the transformation feature is still being worked on. Plus, I don't think you could fit 70+ little character images on that selection screen. Also, the controls image has the PSN icon at the bottom. Definite Online. Just don't know what.

Updated my Original Post with: New Video:E3 Gameplay Video 1 - June 4th, 2009[ Viddler.com - Original Upload] [ YouTube - High Quality] New Speculation Entry:June 4th, 2009:Just quick speculation from the first E3 gameplay video: - The camerawork looks smother then the previous games, with things like sidestepping and cinematic attacks flowing well.
- The Hud looks very awkward, but nice in a way. It shows two small circles showing the characters head and their Health, Ki, and (I think) Blast (special attack) Stock.
- The water looks nice and the levels look much larger. Expecially underwater where you go in and it opens up.
- Although to blurry to tell, the characters auras look 'fuller'.
- Still has the same style of better starting and ending phrases/actions.
- At the end of the first battle in the video, Freeza was actually KO'd to the wall.
- The flying away after being attacked looked very square, as in he went far one way, then dropped strait down. I hope this is only an animation issue with the Demo.
- Vegeta can fire mini energy balls very fast.
- Aura's during charging look very nice (Not like those blue lines from BT2). And after the charging, Vegeta and his hair seemed to look brighter, like he was filled with energy.
- The person fighting didn't really know how to play, so no advanced attacks were shown.

Updated my Original Post with: New Video:E3 Gameplay Video 2 - June 5th, 2009[ jeuxvideo.tv - Original Upload] [ YouTube - High Quality] Updated Confirmed Attack/Ability List:Attacks:- Full Power Energy Wave [Freeza]
Abilities:- Sonic Sway (??)
- 'Sudden Rising' (??)
- Z Burst Dash (Seen in the E3 Gameplay Video 1)
- 'Wall Pin' (Seen HERE)
New Speculation Entry:June 5th, 2009:Things I noticed from the second E3 gameplay video : - The original BT3 music was used in the video. Either the same music will return (which I doubt after seeing the Official Trailer#1)
- The character select screen shows the character models as well as alternate outfits. Now we won't have to go guessing from a set of numbers.
- Music is still selectable before battle. It is seen when you select a area.
- The emotion on the characters faces (especially Freeza) when they have their dialog before a battle is very nice.
- There was a technique rumor floating around that I didn't quite understand, but in this video it is seen. When Freeza suddenly flies to the top of a level, that is a new ability called 'Sudden Rising' (or something around that). I guess it helps you get a vantage on your opponent and the area.
- This video really shows that the game is still in development when there were missing sound effects and a glitchy attack.

Updated my Original Post with: 4 New Videos:E3 Gameplay Video 3/4 - June 6th, 2009Video 3: [ Youtube - Poor Quality/No Audio] Video 4: [ YouTube - High Quality - HD Quality] E3 Gameplay Video 5/6 - June 6th, 2009 Video 5: [ YouTube] Video 6: Freeza's Moveset [ YouTube] Added 2 missed Images: Above images found at IGN.com on June 6th, 2009. Originally posted June 2nd, and May 26th. Updated Confirmed Attack/Ability List:The E3 Demo reveled the ways off attacking in the game. The Right Analog stick in either Left, Right, Up, or Down preforms 'Super Attacks', and clicking in R3 (I'm assuming when at full Ki charge), lets the character use their 'Ultimate Attack' [UA] (in the demo, this was plural, maybe meaning more than one).Character Attacks/Abilities:Goku: Kaioken †SSJ Goku: Kamehameha Krillin: Kamehameha †Piccolo: Special Beam Cannon Freeza: 'Barrage Death Beam', Psychokinesis (listed twice), Death Beam, [UA] Destroy the Planet Abilities:Sonic Sway ( ??) 'Sudden Rising' ( ??) Z Burst Dash (Seen in the E3 Gameplay Video 1) 'Wall Pin' (Seen HERE) Tail Attack ††Sway †† (may be a renamed 'Sonic Sway') Vanishing ††Snap-Vanishing ††Recovery from Unconsciousness ††Homing Dash †† (may be a renamed 'Z Burst Dash') †Only slight possible glimpses of attack/ability have been seen. ††Seen at the E309 Demo in a Moveset Video.Updated Speculation:Compiled previous entries:- Level detail is improved from predecessors, but not outstanding.
- Levels look to be more destructive, interactive, and have more room to move around in.
- There seem to be returning techniques from BT3 like 'Sonic Sway' and 'Z Burst Dash'.
- Character models have improved very much. In early screen, things like facial expressions and even having the characters eyes follow each other have been seen. Also, the look of the characters themselves have obviously improved with finer detail and less blocky appendages and fingers/hands.
- Leaked information from the Atari France site (before it was removed) revealed:
- 60 frames per second
- 73 Characters (it still isn't officialy confirmed that the number counts transformations)
- '10 destructible fighting arenas.'
- "Grand Tournament" with 'online up to 16 players.'
- Story mode with 'more than 100 chapters'.
- Official Trailer shows footage with good CG models for once, as well as a new instrumental tune.
- The E3 2009 Namco Bandai Raging Blast Demo booth showed us a few things that may still change before the release of the full game.
- There were 5 characters to choose from (8 if you count different forms): Goku, SSJ Goku, Vegeta, SSJ Vegeta, Krillin, Piccolo, Freeza Final Form, and Freeza 100% Full Power.
- Each character had to be selected separately, as transformations were not available.
- An alternate outfit for Vegeta (his Buu saga outfit), seemed to suggest that there would not be multiple versions of the same character (to represent a different area of the time line) as there was in BT3.
- When selecting alternate outfits, the character model in the character select changes to that outfit.
- Music select was available in the level select screen, but the music in the demo was from BT3. Most likely just for place holding.
- The camera work looks smother then the previous games, with things like sidestepping and cinematic attacks flowing well.
- The Hud looks very awkward, and hard to make out the gauges, but in a positive, it opens up the top of the screen.
- The water looks nice and the levels look much larger. Especially underwater where you go in and it just opens up more area.
- Still has the same style of starting and ending phrases/actions.
And after the charging, Vegeta and his hair seemed to look brighter, really showing that he was filled with energy.
- The L1+O command shown, seems to execute the 'Wall Pin'.

Updated my Original Post with: Updated General Information:Dragon Ball: Raging BlastPlatforms: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360Developer: Spike (Developed the Tenkaichi series)Producer: Namco Bandai, Atari France in France, and Atari UK in the UK. Release Date: Q4 2009 (November 2009 ††) Genre: 3D Fighting (Tenkaichi style gameplay)Frame rate: 60 fps†Characters: "More than 80 characters with 2 exclusives characters for this game." †† †††Arenas: 10 †Online: "Online mode with many different modes (budokai tournament, single or team battle mode, spectator mode where you can rate players...)" ††" 'Big Tournament' online up to 16 Players" †Story Mode: 100 Chapters †General:††- "New combination moves. Use 2 characters to launch special attacks."
- "Special attacks : Super Dashes, Health Drain, Time Stop, Rocket Punch, Wolf's Fang and many more!"
- "Maps feature destructible objects such as rocks, mountains and even the ground." "Ground can be splitted, shattered, destroyed..." "By launching an opponent into a wall, a player can cause the enemy to get stuck into the wall and immobilized."
†Information found from the Atari France website before it was removed. [Cached in French - Cached in English] ††Information found at the Atari UK website. †††It has still not been confirmed if the character counts include, or don't include transformations.1 New Video:E3 Gameplay Video 7 - June 10th, 2009[ YouTube - High Quality] Added 11 Images: Above images found at Atari UK on June 11th, 2009. Updated Speculation:Updated the "Compiled previous entries" section to fit the information changes posted at Atari UK. New Speculation Entry:June 11, 2009:The character roaster count has increased with this new information from Atari UK. It was originally 70+ (71-73ish), but now its 80+ (81-83ish). Also interesting is them saying that there are new 'combination moves' that 'use 2 characters to launch special attacks'. Either this is just a move for a character that happens to have another character in it, or maybe a move where you need the other character as a partner to execute (like fusions in BT3). Another thing that caught my eye is this: "Special attacks : Super Dashes, Health Drain, Time Stop, Rocket Punch, Wolf's Fang and many more!" Time Stop? Like Guildo's ability to freeze time by holding his breath? Oh man, I hope this is a technique, and not a throw away move like it was in BT3. The last thing that is really interesting is the mention of all the online modes: "Online mode with many different modes (budokai tournament, single or team battle mode, spectator mode where you can rate players...)" So: that 'Big Tournament' mode (fight 1v1 untill you make it to the finals), online 1v1 or team battles (I'm assuming it'll still be one human player verses another single player), and a spectator mode? Neat.
I tried to post this yesterday, but I had trouble getting this information up fast because everything that could go wrong did go wrong for me.

Updated my Original Post with: 1 New Video:E3 High Quality Gameplay Video 8 - June 16th, 2009[ YouTube - High Quality] Updated Confirmed Attack/Ability List:Character Attacks/Abilities:Piccolo: Special Beam Cannon, Light Grenade, Mouth Beam ?? Not official attack name.New Speculation Entry:June 16, 2009:More quick notes. From the High Quality E3 Video #8: - First of all, I like the character select, and actually being able to see the models (thus, alternate outfits) before we select them.
- The character mini battle intros still look nice and fluid. Also, although the mouth movements are good, they weren't synced up with that they were saying.
- I can see the "Ready" text and effects getting in the way at the start of a match.
- Although the stages look to have more damage areas, the debris still falls through the stage and disappears.
- Water looks good.
- There was a slight glitch at 1:14 showing possible issues with the homing burst dash.
- Special Beam Cannon looks how it should.
- Facial expressions are great.
- Although it may still be in the works, Piccolo's arm grabbing move sort of transported both characters to the center of the stage, mid move. You can obviously see this when they just teleport out of the water like they did.
- Also, at around 2:46 in the video, Goku sort of teleports and becomes invisible for a while while attacking Freeza. I think the aspect of disappearing )and maybe looking lock-on) is a cool idea, I don't think still being able to attack it. Although again this might have just been a glitch.
- Finally, animations for moves are very well done. Taking poses straight out of the anime.
