The E3 Demo reveled the ways off attacking in the game.
The Right Analog stick in either Left, Right, Up, or Down preforms 'Super Attacks', and clicking in R3 (I'm assuming when at full Ki charge), lets the character use their 'Ultimate Attack' [UA] (in the demo, this was plural, maybe meaning more than one).

Also note this list may not be perfectly up to date as it is hard to confirm everyones attacks until the full release.

September 2nd, 2009:
Spike will be releasing 11 videos regularly until the game's release in November.

So that means frequent new content.

Anyway, Video #1 was just showcasing Melee and Ki. Nothing special yet. The Dev's were having fun with it.

The next video will showcase 'Vanishing Attacks'.
Basically teleporting and ricocheting your opponents.


Also, another simple screenshot, and the game's online menu, along with translation.

September 9th, 2009:
The Second tutorial video is out.
This one showcases Dragon Homing and Vanishing Attacks.

The 360 version video is nothing special, but the PS3 version video shows Goku getting battle damage from the Galick Gun.
(I just hope we can select battle damage from the start of the match)

Next video will showcase "Super Rising".

Also out is a 15 sec TV commercial showing Goku and Broly fighting, and an interview from Ryo Mito.
Both not uploaded earlier because I was too busy.

September 14th, 2009:
I've added a few images that I missed from a few days ago and added some confirmation of DLC for this game.

Also added a few more characters that were confirmed from someone decompiling the .swf file on hidden page on the official site. Image 1 - Image 2

A few things to note

• 2 Broly Icons - Either means that:
  • There are 2 Broly's - which is unlikely since there aren't any other double characters.
  • Those 2 icons were supposed to show up in seperate updates.
  • 1 icon is just placeholder image.
  • Whoever made the .swf messed up.
• No glimpse of either SSJ3 Broly or the 2nd 'Exclusive Character'.
  • They might just not be shown because they're transformations. Which means that another character may also get an exclusive transformation.

For all the fuss over Dragonball Z games, they really haven't made a good 3D RPG Dragonball game. (Not counting numerous handheld RPGs)

Explore the genres if you're going to continue basing games on a decrepit anime series guys.

All though this is a fighting game, there are a lot of RPG elements like the capsule and potara systems as well as character leveling up modes in a few of the games.
Its just the fighting genre seems to fit DBZ well, and it makes money because if it.

I never got the game, but Burst Limit's Online play is said to be bad.

I don't see how a game like this, with much more mobility and stuff going on, will be able to handle online play.

But I sure hope it would be good.

Ok i love the DB,DBZ (a little GT) anime series alot since i was a kid and i loved the old DBZ games that were on the PS1 back in the day and a few on PS2 but now....its kinda getting old from a gaming stand point. Its the same thing over and over and over lol at least the PSP version Alternative Road tried to mix things up a little and changed the story to future trunk's life and the Z warriors from the past being brought with him to save his time from Buu. I lost interest in the games a wile back

BT3 is far from 'amazing.' It's good yeah, but there is a lot they can do.

The characters, though having many and only having slight variations, generally play the same. Meaning mastering move execution on one character can generally carry over onto others.
That being said, they can make combos and move executions different for each or the majority of characters.

Transformation, though in the game, feel very uninspired.
I mean, when transforming back to your base form, the character models sot of just switch without any effects.

The customization was much better in BT3, providing more depth to things like, how much of a certain skill you can use in a certain state of your character.
They can get into greater details with that such as incorporating in game items (Like B3), or limiting attacks until certain specifications are met.

Also, the story mode is another big factor. No story mode, aside from arguably B3, has been executed better than B1. Maybe it was the cutscenes, I don't know.
From BT3, they can improve on this with a little more character movement and.. maybe having more than 2 or 3 characters on the screen in a scene...


Basically, the real reason they do this is money.
They make good money by releasing these biyearly.

Of course you don't have to buy them.
I know Burst Limit wasn't that successful, because it took to many steps back, when we got so far with BT3.
Knowing this, I also didn't buy the thing.


Also, I'm 99% sure that this game wont cut off at Cell saga.
Spike is the type of developer that feels more = more.
I'm also 99% sure that this game will bring new stuff to the table, but still fall short on a few things.

I'm just hoping that take what the have from BT3, make it pretty, make it more detailed in terms of gameplay and story, maybe throw in some good online, and maybe I'll get it.

But for now BT3 is my favorite.
