well i put this post up a while ago and i already got it, great game by the way thanks. so i guess this thread can be for anyone else wanting oblivion

Personally, I think Oblivion is a game that ALL 360/PS3 owners should experience. I spent countless (as in I don't know exactly HOW many) hours playing it, and I didn't even start the main quest until after I clocked in a few dozen hours of gameplay. It's definitely addicting and there are a LOAD of side quests and stuff to keep you busy, not to mention DLC (downloadable content in case you don't know). Also, it's definitely one of the more simple roleplaying games out there. It's really easy to pick up and play, and it's also fairly difficult to botch a character creation unless you COMPLETELY don't know what you're doing. Definitely rent it if you're not gonna buy it.

yes, I agree 100% with hamdemon.
Oblivion is a game that you should just buy. The world is big, the DLC is great! I'd say i spent 140 hours on my main guy. After I was done with him I realized how much I missed, so I turned right around and made a few more characters. Its a game that I can go back to every day and play.
Do yourself a favor and just buy it evilplans.

i would get this game it is the pinnacle of the rpg series with great graphics, sound and landscape i would say one of the best if not the best game on ps3 and xbox

I bought Oblivion for 15$ dollars. An hour into it I said to myself; "I would have paid 60 for this game"

Oblivion is great, only downfall is that sometimes you die because of stupid shit and notice there are only like 10 voices in the game, other than that...

great game, one you can pay full price for and feel like it was still money worth spending.
if you get it, dont use the "jump to" function, as it gets you instantly form place to place, exploring is much better than the main plot in my opinion, you can be walking through a woodland and find a town thats not on any road were the locals pray to a book full of bizarre symbols and are known for having visitors disappear in the night. or be walking alongside a river and find some upturned coffins, following them to an abandoned church were a vampire has taken up residence.
theres just so much to do, and i haven't even got the shivering isles yet.

just to give an example i once sat down to play it at 1pm on a saturday, and stopped playing at 11am on a sunday, its like crack when you first get into it.
