Just opening this up for discussion. Some things to think about: What do you think the state of gaming will be 10 years from now? How about 50?
What improvements do you think will be made? Will we still have "console wars"? Will things like graphics be as much of an issue then as now?

I'm pretty damn sure we'll be having console wars for a long time, but it just seems like Games are getting dumbed down due to the rush for a casual audience. The Wii is a big example of this. The idea behind the sytem is absolutely brilliant...
Find a new way to bring immersion to games, while appealing to a broad audience, both casual and HARDCORE...
They completely forgot the hard core aspect of their ideals and left alot of Nintendo fans hanging...for now, I'm really hoping they pull something out of their collective asses.
All I know is, if this keeps up, Shooters and minigames will be the only things we'll ever play D:

I think in 50 years there could be virtual reality games.

We cant realy tell what's incoming in the future, but I still think video games shouldnt get too close to reality.
