Any Possibility of a 4pp Community Podcast?

I don't know if this would be possible or not, but I know besides me I've seen people in chat who listen to the podcast all the time and would like to be a part of something like that. I don't know about the Specifics, I'm just kinda wondering if anything like this is possible to do. A community podcast would be pretty much a podcast run by the 4pp community where we can discuss obviously new stuff in 4playerpodcast, the feed, stuff like that, and of course discussions on games and such. I don't know if you guys would mind a kind of sub podcast within your own or something along the lines of that. It's just an idea I thought of recently. I would love to hear your thought on this on whether or not you think it's a good idea or not. or if it's even possible to do lol.

it could work but it would have to be restricted in many ways.

anyway, a program called skype can be used easily for the discusions stuff. all the people would need would be a good mic and no major background noice.

someone would have to be willing to record and edit and stuff.

the fan podcast could mirror the podcasts on 4pp, like just having discussions of news and recent games you've played and your hype and stuff. maybe give your take on some topics they were talking about.


anyway, its a nice idea and id like to be a part of it if anyone would be willing to set it up.

i mentioned something similar in the "how to improve" thread, but i mentioned more community questions answered instead of it being in the main show. Every podcast they cut it very close and answer only 1-4 questions because they are running out of time. I suggested a bi-weekly podcast to answer some.

If they added more of the community into this, i think it would be pretty sweet, but there is a lot of work and planning that goes with it.

yeah, i just thought it'd be nice to have a couple ppl from the community talk about stuff as well, and then I was thinking we could have a "guest" from the forums. meaning every week there is 1 new person that comes and contributes. but its just an idea, idk if anyone else would want to put effort into it.

It sounds like a good idea, but I think it would work better if you used 2 people that are more or less always there, a rotation of four or five people, and a random person from the forum that isn't on the rotation. Fresh new stuff every week, guaranteed that way.

I'd be interested in doing it.

Yeah, sounds cool, I wouldn't mind being part of it.

We'd probably have to go half and half with video game impressions and 4player podcast related discussion.

Something like this could be really cool.

I know of a program (although I've never really tested it throughly, but it has sound effects and optional background music) that can be used.

I'd love to help somehow.

Well I wasn't thinking to do EXACTLY what the 4pp does on their podcast. I was think along the lines of like the same impressions and stuff but then do a LOT of news and a LOT of community discussion, and then we could end on like our favorite moments from the weeks broadcast.

and i think darknezz is right where we could have like 1 or 2 ppl be on ALL the time and then rotate between certain ppl and have 1 specific guest from the forum or the community.
