Bishops and Councels all around England are refusing to sound the bells, and general festivities because they're worried other religions and immigrants maybe offend by it..
Personally I think it's ridiculous, we should be allowed to celebrate our countries holidays without having to worry about non Nationals.. If we were celebrating it in someone elses country then fine, but ours?
What does the international viewers think?

Old traditions are dying out and this Country is losing it's identity because they are thinking too much what is deemed Politically Correct. Why should any one be offended by their adopted Country's Traditions, if they don't like it then I strongly suggest they go back to their own Country. April 23 is just ONE day out of the year that we can fly the St.George's Flag and be proud of being English.

Pulling a parade has nothing to do with sensitivity. Now if the parade is about, for example, hating another religion, then yes PULL IT! But a regular parade for a mainstream religious figure is not being insensitive, if your not part of that religion, just don't go. Of course however, I have not read anything about St. George, so maybe he did really ****ed up things to people of other religions and that could be the reason.

Digitalis is completely right.
If you move to another country, you have no right to complain about that country's traditions. If you don't like it then don't come here.
