I loved coming in chat every day, talking to everyone, and all the great stuff, but its come to where that is impossible now. I'm glad to have talk to you guys, so goodbye (from chat). Of course, I'll still be on the forum/IRC/whatever.

As much I'd like to ask you to hang in there and all that, I can really see what you mean. 200+ viewers every night really makes it hard to carry out a decent conversation. Of course, the 4PP themselves haven't changed a bit and they're still delivering some of the funniest video game footage I've ever seen, so if you watch the broadcasts without chatting, I'm sure you'd still have fun. It's been nice chatting with you Cortex, and if you do decide to come back, well then, that's great.

I can't even watch the broadcasts anymore. cause of all the ppl who don't even watch the feed and sit there saying random stuff, my internet is bad and I'm not saying that u should change it for me cause the internet thing is my problem but I don't want to have to get new internet just to watch a jtv channel :\ Which makes me a little sad cause I used to watch 4pp all the time when there were only like 30 maybe 40 ppl there. but now its just ridiculous that I can't even watch anything cause i can't understand what their saying with the buffering and everything in chat is like 20 minutes ahead of feed. so I still post here and stuff but I am most likely not gonna be in the channel for a while.

I joined only 2 weeks ago so I dont know how it was before. Its a good thing that more people watch 4PP but the downside is most of the new viewers are from YouTube and think that Brad is the player and that he always play GTA4, The house or Fatal Frame. I wish I could have some decent disscusions in the chat but all I see is: ''LOLLOLOOLOLOL'' ''PLAY GTA4/FATAL FRAME/THE HOUSE'' ''who is playin guis? ?'' ''wat gaem is dis'' ''OWNED/PWND'' Or lame memes from 4chan that are overused and not funny anymore.

Yeah Cortex, I've been thinking of doing the same thing but I've been holding on. I've been here everyday since the middle of May and i haven't missed a single broadcast or podcast, but lately my interest in coming to jtv has been diminishing because I can't get a decent convo going anymore like i used to because I don't know anyone anymore. What makes it worse is the constant need for slow mode EVERY NIGHT, so i can't and don't bother talking anymore either. I definitely miss the days where 100 viewers was OH MY GOD a lot, and the days where I talked to people like Jessie, Pennz0il, and Missjokergirl till 5 in the morning. Even most of them quit because of these retarded n00bs. I guess those good old days are gone now and i might go the way of the Cortex soon too

Yeah it's hard now to even have a decent discussion with anyone in chat. It's not filled with n00bs every night saying "PlAY TEH FATAL FRAME LULZ" and they repeately ask "Wat game is tis?" After about 10 people already said the answer, it gets on my nerves and I have noticed myself not watching as many broadcast as before, because of this reason.
P.S. moose if you leave I will shed a tear tbh.

We appreciate everyone who watches our channel and participates. We understand your frustrations and unfortunately there is not a way around the problem. We hope that anyone who leaves will come back and hang with us now and then. A way to temporarily resolve this is for slow mode whenever things get out of hand and voice the people that are acting mature and not constantly yelling at mods and the 4pp crew to take off Slow mode.

I was really upset when I moved a few months back because my connection is too crappy to even watch the live feed.
I also remember when they reached 100 viewers when Nick was playing Condemned 2, that was a HUGE deal!!.
I still check everything but the live feed, maybe some day I'll come back to the channel, but for now Im content w/ just checking the site and listening to the podcast.

Its sad to see a member leave, especially ones who are a good part of the community. I don't think gaining new viewers is a problem, quite the opposite actually. It means more views for 4PP and more input from different people. The downside though is most of the new wave of viewers are youtubers who, like virtualnav puts it, say stupid sh*t and spam the chat (Admittebly, I have done this a few times. But only in self parody, and when something truly hilarious happens, as well as Nobunaga nights). Its gotten to the point where we've had to have slow mode on before 200 viewers, hell, sometimes even when they're not broadcasting. We need some way of informing new people before they begin annoying veteran users (A 4PlayerPodcast FAQ perhaps? So when someone asks common questions or does something wrong we could post them to a link which tells them everything about how 4PP works. Could work). Having said that, I don't feel the need to move on from 4PlayerPodcast just yet. The Podcasts are still engaging, the highlight material is always around the corner, and David, Nick, Travis, Brad and everyone else that visits are great personalities. Same thing with old members. When there isn't a barrage of spam or idiocy going 60mph on the stupid express, you can get into really good convos with others. Even then, no one's forcing you to chat. Just watch the feed and post when you feel like it once in a while. Infact, 4PP doesn't just stop at chat. You could still keep in touch with private chat rooms, posting comments on their blog or even now use the forums. At least they haven't gone down the sh*tter at all. A way to temporarily resolve this is for slow mode whenever things get out of hand and voice the people that are acting mature and not constantly yelling at mods and the 4pp crew to take off Slow mode. *passes delicious cake under the table*

I am so sorry that happened guys =[
It is true that there are more people on 4PP to watch them broadcast and it is also true that it's hard to carry out a decent or maybe develop a little personal conversation with the 4PP. But you can't just leave. If you are a long time viewer, you've basically grown with them. If you guys remember how they first started and how much they've grown into now, why don't you hang in there and continue to support them? It'd be interesting to see how much more they can achieve.
They are so sad to see this post even appear on the forum. They really do appreciate you guys being there and try to have fun with them when they actually look at developing 4Player Podcast as an important job.
Because of knowing them in person, I've seen David getting stressed out about looking for better equipments to bring you better effect on videos and podcasts. Brad insists on playing and broadcasting every night to keep you guys entertained even when sometimes he is tired as hell from working the whole day (Yes, they are not bums that play video games all the time), or him sitting in front of his computer late at night thinking about what to write and present on 4PP blog to bring you more insight on games and this multi-million game industry, hoping you guys will take a notice and comment them, so they know they are doing a good job. Travis, your favorite Nobunaga, fighting the chances to make it to Wayback Wednesday and the podcast every weekend as much as possible with his parents. It's hard for him because as you all know, he just graduated from high school and still has parental restrictions. Nick, who spent the whole day at home messing with "garage band" on his mac to figure out how to edit and better the sound quality for all the podcast listeners who only download the podcast episodes and don't have time to show up on the live show. He was so excited that the garage band works.
Not to mention other extra videos they shoot to introduce you more about them.
I am not saying this to make you feel that they are just doing this as JUST a regular job. They are doing this because of their passion for video games.
They don't like it when people scream out games and make them play something PEOPLE want to play. I mean, sure, there are times when game season gets a little dry and they don't know what to play, and they will ask you guys for recommendations. But the constant and repetitive requesting won't get them anywhere. It just frustrates them that you guys are not being very understanding of where they are coming from at times.
They do this because they love video games. And ever since they started the show, they love you guys too! That's why they care enough to not just play video games, but also trying to interact with you guys, bringing out the talents of Mike and Sandra to come out with new comics, shooting more videos for you guys to get to know them (or in Gummy Bear's case...to make you laugh), or bringing extra game players so you don't feel the show is getting dull (You all know you love Juan, Matt, and Japancast).
They love you guys, because if it wasn't for you guys, all their effort would've gone to waste. They enjoy your company, and they hope you are enjoying theirs as well.

Wow Jessie. If that post doesn't get people to stay and respect 4PP more then I don't know what will. Hell it's even made me want to watch 4PP more often, and I was already going to stick around. Great post.

I feel the exact same way. I used to be able to watch the channel cause they only had a few viewers and I my connection would play the feed perfectly fine and it was fun for like a month or so. then all these people came on which isn't a bad thing its just that my internet connection is really really bad so it doesn't play the feed well at all it just buffers all the time. so now I really only listen to the podcast the forums and the website. Maybe when i move soon my connection will be better, but im not sure if that will even happen. I really wish also that there was an FAQ like thecosmicfly said. It would really help if ppl asked what their playing or who they are and stuff like that. like maybe when ur one of them is broadcasting they can add to the channel name like "brad-fatal frame" or "travis-halo 3" or something like that b/c i know a lot of ppl dont really even bother to try to figure out who it is on their own and are lazy. I also know thata there are at least 40-50 ppl on this channel that don't even go on to watch the feed. they just sit there and say stupid stuff the whole time. which is retarded b/c why wouldn't u watch the feed lol. I agree with what Jessie said that they "care" lol about us and everything and I'm not saying their doing a bad job or their lazy but I just think that if they made the channel so if u wanted to chat u had to go to a seperate thing to chat then jtv or something like that, cause most ppl who just spam would just say "im too lazy" and not do that and some spammers will not even be on their. but anyways I understand what ppl are saying like cortex b/c I remember how it used to be were anyone could have a decent conversation with anyone in the chat and no one was bothered. but now its just impossible like he said and if u can't talk to other ppl about certain things even if 4pp isn't' broadcasting that's ridiculous. ppl go in and say "when are they broadcasting?" how are we supposed to know??? do we know who 4pp are in real life? no. I don't see the reason in coming to the chat and asking when their broadcasting when they broadcast at night almost everyday of the week. its ridiculous. sure i know i used to ask that when i first started watching but i don't ask any person in any channel at all b/c i know that i'll get an email when anyone is broadcasting. so I know this is a really long post but this is to say to cortex, and thecosmicfly, and 4pp, and jessie and everybody else reading this that yes you don't have to watch the feed to stay up to date with 4pp, but the whole reason we watch the feed is to see how they deal with the games, whether they like them or not at certain parts. the podcast's really help a lot too cause I get to see what their broadcasting and if its even worth the trouble to try and watch it. but I think that with this newly found "fame" for 4pp maybe they should help out the ppl that were here at the beginning and are not so fortunate to have fast internet connections. like put below the "no url" description that nobody should spam anything or ask them to play any sort of games untill asked. that would help at least a little bit at least. so good job so far b/c i know how it is to deal with ppl spamming with the slo mo and everything. so i throw my hat off to you for helping with that. but maybe you could do a weekly segment after the podcast where u put together the best highlights and put them on your youtube account or something like that. good job nonetheless. ;D
