In an RPG (specifically for this question but it can be applied to any game) do you care more about the battle system, gameplay mechanics, control scheme or storyline to make you play the game in it's entirety?

Adaptions of movies to games are common these days, with most action summer blockbusters and CGI kids movies having games devoted to them. The possibilities of ideas from other mediums are rarely explored though. (Call of Cthulhu) What books would you like to see adapted into games, and how would you envision those games working?

what kind of powers/abilities would they have?
what gender?
would they be clear cut good or evil or would they be in the grey?
what is their personal back story? like what makes them unique. did they loose all their loved ones at a young age and were raised by a pack of wolfs and then they were killed and were then raised by harpies and som ehow gaiend the power to turn into an elephant from some stupid ritual as a right of the pact?

How do you guys feel about all the arcades getting shut down here in the U.S.? Do you think think the arcade fighting genre is slowly dying? If so, do you think titles like Street Fighter 4 or upcoming Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion will help revive this fading genre?

Question 1-Many games look great but end up terrible leading gamers to waste their money on bad games. My question is what game do you regret buying /playing.
Question 2- In t are many games there are bosses that are so hard some gamers put the games down forever. Has there ever been a boss so hard you have gave up on a game completely.

A few questions, hopefully they haven't been answered before:
1. If you could take on another role (career-wise) in the video game industry, what would that be? Would you want to be PR, music or art designer, voice actor, etc.?
2. Sorta related to the above, but if you were not doing 4playerpodcast, what would you be doing right now?
3. What are your expectations of GDC? What do you most want to hear from developers and what are you afraid to hear announced? (lol, I lost track of the podcasts, forgot this is pre-GDC)
4. Do you have any "big events" or contests planned for 4pp at the moment?
