Any suggestions ? Platforms may be preferably PC, XBOX (not 360) and PS2. In that order. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't playing co-op kinda take away the feeling of isolation and helpless-ness that horror games are famous for?
That said, get a 360 and wait for Left4Dead.
I think there are some good horror Half-Life mods that can be played co-op as well.

Aye, theres a co-op mod for FEAR but it's terrible. Havn't tried the doom 3 one but if it's just a campaign map with respawning enemies like FEAR's I wouldn't bother.
Oh, and by the way if you're going for Left 4 dead I'd definately stick with the PC version. I don't doubt the quality of the 360 version, however, it being an online focused co-op game you're going to want as much content as you can get, and there's sure to be some excellent user made content for l4d which I doubt will be available for the 360 version (atleast not for free).

obscure and obscure 2 on the ps2 both have 2 player co-op , dont get the wii version it sucks, there inspired by teen slasher movies and there made by the guys behind the new alone in the dark. The same composer does the music to both. in fact, check out the reviews on my site, theres a link in the obscure 2 review to the composers site were you can get the soundtrack off him for free. racooncitytimes.blogspot.com/2007/10/obscure-2-review.html

I love your blog btw. Guys, I said XBOX not 360 . Doom 3 is boring, honestly it's some weird space station but they don't even have ductape for the flashlight. F.E.A.R.'s co-op sucks. And actually no, I think being helpless and lonely is just getting boring because it is rather unrealistic that only one person walks into a house full of zombies. Left 4 dead definately looks like something I'll love. But I assume it's console only ... what a pity. Exactly what I was looking for: Huge place, rather complex actions and zombies coming from everywhere. Oh wait it's PC ? Yum. Ah just another game came into my mind Hellgate: London. Which rather sucks though. Anyone wanna start a new character on that with me ?

The original obscure is on the xbox, not sure about the second, i know its on ps2 and pc and recently got a crappy wii port. its not bad 2 player wise, you explore a campus style high school after hours and you get locked in with all these monsters, and only sunlight harms them so you have to smash windows to let light in before you can harm them. Its really quite a fun game, it'd be fun to see brad tackle it in co-op with nick or something sometime.

-OH, and im not sure how the co-op works, but if anyone else has monster madness: battle for suburbia on the 360 ill give that co-op a shot.
If you aint heard of it its a budget title thats pretty much gauntlet meets zombies ate my neighbors. up to 4 people crossing the suburbs of an american city, fighting hordes of zombies with any and all things they can find in the yards.

As in you share the keyboard or whatever with your buddy. Kinda lame. I'm gonna give it a try anyway though.
