Damn, I'm going to have a LONG list. (I'm going to go all nerd on everyone)
Stephen King - IT, The Shining, and Carrie H.P Lovecraft - The Call of Cthulhu (Soulds like a certian game huh? yeah, and it inspired Metallica to write 'The Call of Ktulu') J.K Rowling - Harry Potter series (nerd part) Edgar Allen Poe - What can't you not like from him? and lastly... pretty much all manga there is. I just love a good (or bad... sometimes horrific even) story.

Oliver Rigney Junior (Robert Jordan) - The Wheel of Time series. If I had to pick one book from the series, it would probably be The Great Hunt.
