yeah you heard me right. The classic game Gauntlet is coming to the Nintendo DS. I don't know about you, but I am so excited about this game. I should be getting my DS in around a month so I'm excited for that and I found this game was coming out September 1st, 2008. By what I've seen so far with footage and whatnot it looks awesome. Here are some features to get you excited:

This looks amazing. If you go on youtube and type in "Gauntlet DS" you'll find some gameplay video's on it. Sure the graphics are not the best, but both screens are 3-d, and its the same Gauntlet we all love. Personally this is great for me Since I'm mainly getting the DS to play wirelessly with my friends now b/c I'm moving and with the voice chat it'll be great. From my standpoint so far on this game, this iis a a kinda must have game if your into games like this. I've been going on about this game a lot on the chat and I seem kinda crazy talking about this a lot, but it seems like a really good remarkable game for the DS that just seems to be awesome if that makes sense. Mind you the touch control will not be used in this game, well not to control your character or attack or anything. So if you feel touch control will fail this game your wrong b/c its all button control which is great.
Gauntlet for the Nintendo DS is a feature rich game that stays true to the retro gameplay of the original arcade coin-op while boasting an updated look, additional attacks and powers, and a new Experience-based combat system. Players will encounter punishing onslaughts of 32 different enemy types, including a cadre of completely original monsters as well as fan favorites such as Skeletons, Thief and even Death. Scattered throughout the maps players acquire amazing pickups to assist on their journey – from Bait that attracts nearby monsters to the Glacier Freeze potion that temporarily freezes the hordes of enemies around them. With local and Wi-Fi support for four-player cooperative play, as well as three competitive multiplayer modes, Gauntlet on the Nintendo DS is a revitalized tribute to an all time classic game.
