Honestly... even thought I own only a 360 and not a Ps3, Ps3 is the console for the future.
Still get your 360 repaired though.
Sony first party is far better than Microsoft first party. Microsoft also lost exclusivity with Bioware and Bungie. Sony has God of War team, Team Ico team, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch (Sly Cooper and Infamous), Socom team, Warhawk team, Metal Gear solid, Final Fantasy, Little Big Planet, and more. Add the fact that there is some really cool indie exclusives for PSN and the choice should be clear.
The only thing Xbox has on Playstation right now is online multiplayer. Hopefully with the recent announcement of the new PSN store and rumors of in game cross media bar... eventually Sony should catch up.
Don't let people give you shit about the price either. 50 bucks more and you get a blueray player, built in wireless, and a controller you dont have to buy a 15 dollar charge kit for.
Ps3 is a great buy now, but you may want to wait for the MGS4 pack. That shit is a fantastic deal.

What games are coming to the PS3 this year though? I say keep the 360 for now, cause you already own it. If enough games come for the PS3 and you can give up the 360 exclusives then sell it. I don't see that many games coming for the PS3 this year that make it a must buy though.
Or just buy both.

right know the PSN is getting overhauled and will not get updated for the next 2 weeks and by Thursday the 17 it should be back up with its new interface for example  and the online play is not bad at all depends on what you will play online and if your planning on buying a PS3 i would wait till June by then sony would be announcing some new consoles hope this helped PSN:S_A_B_A_T_H ;D |

Wow after reading this topic I might be picking up a ps3 fairly soon aswell...now the real question is, should i wait for the MGS4 bundle or just get it now?

Wow after reading this topic I might be picking up a ps3 fairly soon aswell...now the real question is, should i wait for the MGS4 bundle or just get it now? i would wait till sony officially announces a new console because there is only 40 GB models at the moment and ive bin hearing a lot of ppl complaining about it malfunctioning so i would wait till June for the MGS bundle or for some other model that is rumored to come out soon i will post the news if this happens  |

Ok, so now that i'm picking up a PS3 shortly, what games would everyone recommend as my first? I was thinking either Resistance or Uncharted (Everyman Adventure Extravaganza). I would like a game that could hold me over for a while until GTA4 or something. Any Ideas?

i would say UT3 and uncharted or the Orange Box (witch is awesome) Resistance is an awesome game with a good multilayer server,
there is a lot of good games out and coming soon,
i will be getting GTA4 as well

haha, as much as i would love to buy that......I'm not gunna wait until June with no system to play. I can just buy MGS4 and a duel shock 3 when they come out and still save money......I don't need an 80 gig because I could care less about playing PS2 games on a PS3, when the whole reason i'm buying a PS3 is to play new generation games
