A separate chat room for 4PP

Since the chat room is full of spam and other stuff, maybe we could have a 2nd chat room that is posted on the forum only, so less idiots are in.

Not really just the annoying people though, just that with 200 people chatting in the room at once (of that, most likely 100-150), its hard to really talk to people without slowmo mode or something.

I don't know much about how to set up a room on it, but maybe we could use IRC? The client is free (not sure the cost of hosting a room, if there is any), there are many clients for all OS's I know of, and it's pretty simple to get the program working. Again, I don't know much about how the host side works, just a suggestion.

another website uses it so maybe if david or brad or nick or travis wanted to put it up it'd be good. i could go look for it and ill post a link to it when i find it

Ok here are some instructions I found for making a shoutbox, not sure if it'll help at all but its worth a try.

If you are feeling too lazy that you don't wnat to install any mods continue reading (although this isn't the best way to get it done)....

1) Goto www.myshoutbox.com and sign up for a free shout box.

2) Goto forum management and create a forum at the top called Shoutbox. Lock this forum.

3) Paste your shoutbox link (with appropriate width and height) from your myshoutbox control panel onto the forum description form.

Save settings, Refresh.

You're done.

I really hope this happens soon, cause chat when 4pp isn't on is getting really ridiculous, like to the point I don't even bother talking to anyone anymore. The other day for example, there were a few people even talking about and admitting to liking stuff from 12chan and stuff. Today also, all day, there were people spamming bots and links while I'm trying to have a decent convo. Ya' know im usually a nice guy but I'm really coming off as a bit of an asshole now trying to tell these guys to shut the fuck up every 2 seconds lol.

lol moose I know what you mean. I am also getting annoyed by these stupid people asking if their broadcasting and when their broadcasting. Do you honostly think we know?? and if we did we'd tell you but its the same people all the time coming to chat "are they broadcasting?" "when are they broadcasting?" and then when we say no they just leave. its pretty ridiculous. if their not broadcasting then just wait or chat with other people. They can't broadcast 24/7 they have jobs. They have a life. its only the new people doing this and I'm not trying to be disrespectful if your new or anything but I mean I've never once asked if their broadcasting. I've asked when cause I heard from other people that they were playing games later. These are the ppl asking if they can post links and if the mods say yes they just post stupid youtube crap or other stupid sh**. If you have a funny pic that has to do with whats going on in chat that's one thing, or a website that has decent news or anything, but just posting youtube links to stupid sh** that is just wasting everyones time is pretty annoying and i F***ing hate it when ppl post in all caps when in broadcast and their message doesn't make sense or is just plain stupid like OMG SCOOTAH BRoTHAS!!!! or HAHAHAHAHA YOU SCREAMED HAHAH. its not funny it just lags the feed and makes me yell at the ppl doing this and then ppl get mad at me for posting in caps b/c if i don't nobody will see what im saying because of all the ppl spamming stupid stuff. what you should do is voice certain ppl that are regulars that don't post spam and put the chat in slow mo so that ppl that have decent things to say can say them and you won't get spam at all. b/c I've seen that happen b4 when i think moose or greyfox voiced ppl and they had a good conversation while all others were in slow mo. and made the stupid spamm ppl leave cause they can only post once a minute. anyways I hope that you make a seperate chat or something to help us regulars out cause I leave justin.tv at the beginning of broadcasts cause its too laggy cause of chat and b/c I don't want to have to go through everyone and ignore them. its really frusterating. It's really nice that you upload your podcasts otherwise I'd nvr be able to listen to them.

Yeah, its sad that i used to watch and chat with everyone (since i knew everyone) about a month ago, then now its where it don't even come to watch and chat, or even watch at all. I've missed like 3 podcasts i think.
