Everytime i go to join a Gta 4 free roam multiplayer game i get disconnected before i ever get in. i mean its not my interenet because i can play all my other games like left for dead and stuff but i was just wondering if anyone has suggestions to fix this.

the QA section is really for the podcasts and broadcasts, this should prob get moved to general..
but...
in answer to your question, i really can't say anything other than turn everything off and on, check connections, make sure the game is fully updated, see if you can connect to other on-line modes. if that all fails check out rockstars forums, they prob have a full support forum there where people can answer ya question better than i ever could.

open your ports? Connect directly to the internet instead of through a router?
just some options. im not too tech savvy.

just tried it myself on my 360, went into a free mode game and got D/C'd, then again, then 3rd time i got in and had a solid connection and it was fine. maybe its your connection timing out trying to connect to a host on them other side of the world or the host having a bad connection, and maybe your just getting unlucky. i tried a couple of other modes and they connected fine 1st time, seems free mode is a bit of a bitch. but still check rockstar forums to see if anyone else is having this issue. and travis, you lie, you never loved me. it was all a LIE!  |

I have the same problem too with GTA4, and it's only GTA4 that I have problems with. Very strange, must be some bug with the expansion or something.
