I mentioned this series a few times a while back, but now that people have started creating threads dedicated to individual series, I wanted to make one for Black Lagoon.
I saw the first season several months ago, and found myself addicted to its bleak outlook, unique setting, stylish gunfights, and Revy's... "colorful" vocabulary. Never have I seen a series where the protagonists face off against such a variety of people, from nuns running illegal smuggling operations, to Neo-Nazis, so the antics of Lagoon Company and their contacts alone are enough for me to suggest giving this series a try.
I JUST finished the second season (appropriately named the "Second Barrage") and just when I thought the situations in the anime couldn't get any stranger, the series introduces a pair of psychotic adolescent vampire twins (I won't spoil anything though). As I continued with the Second Barrage, I found myself laughing and cheering on the main characters, and really, it's only improved from the first season.
The best part for me: a third season's been announced and I'm eagerly waiting for more news. All in all, it's a great series, and while it's mostly mindless gun violence, there are occasionally other, much deeper themes at work. I highly suggest giving it a try.

i really do like the series. the twin vampires you said, at the end of that arc, im not afriad to admit that i cried. anyone who has seen the series knows what i mean. it is just sad what happened to them. anyway, this is one of the best series out ther with a good dub from what ive heard. i also like to say im happy to see an atheist in the series. i love the line she gives about killing a nun. it was something like (im an atheist, your laws dont apply to me" or something like that. i just cracked up at that.
