Ok, what I'm proposing here is that the Rules of Chat should be copy-pasted into the About Me section at the 4PlayerPodcast channel. I think this could lower the amount of rule breaking. Less caps, less quoting, less offensive crap, less !!!!! !?!?!?, less memes, less spoilers, less game requests, less "Please take a moment to read the rules....", ect ect ect. I think it would work greatly. It's all to make the chat better. This is my dream. I'd love to see it come true. Thoughts?

That just might work. We won't know until the guys put it up.

That just might work. We won't know until the guys put it up. if you would like an example, just take a look at swiftor's chat. he does that, and that chat is very calm and civilized.

I don't think alot of people actually scroll down to the "About Me" section, it's a bigger prompt to to post it in chat.
That's just my opinion though, having it down there couldn't hurt I suppose.

I like the idea but and i think 4PP should do it. But the only thing that worries me that are the noobs going to scroll down?

like mord said, it couldn't hurt. and it could, most likely, help.

They should edit the rules into their banner.

Let's not let this topic die. I think something needs to be done about this. Even just having a link to the rules page in the About me section would be better than people having to type it into chat only to get washed away in the muck of chatters.

People are more likely to click a link in chat than follow the directions of a mod to click a link lower on the page.
I do agree that having the rules on the page, or even a link would help, but I still think the link should be posted in chat every once in a while. Especially when it gets real bad. Like Brads playing GTA 4 and they're on the front page bad.

Good point. Having a link or a brief sum-up of the rules on the page though would at least be a sort of liability-check though. People wouldn't be able to use the excuse that they don't know if the rules are right there staring at them.
