This is why.
Reel Big Fish did the song for the opening of the English dub of Rave Masters, and I am now thoroughly convinced that they should do it more.

Lol, Well, Reel Big Fish is just that awesome. =) But at least, if they're going to change the original song to an english song. Yes, I agree. PLEASE get a band that can actually sing, play, and write lyrics. As much as I love DBZ, . . . ."Dragon Dragon, Rock the Dragon?" Seriously. It's like they made it bad on purpose.

Why do they even mess with Anime openers anyways? I watched an English Naruto opening and it has crappy music, the clips were rearranged and added new crap in-between. Really, they could of just kept the original openings and introduce kids to other cultures to expand their minds a bit.
Sure, some openers are a bit long and may have conflicts with commercials, but not all of them are like that x.x

Really, they could of just kept the original openings and introduce kids to other cultures to expand their minds a bit. Because these people exist.

You're not nice D: How does keeping a Japanese intro to an anime "expand minds" or introduce people to other cultures? That doesn't make sense. I mean, sure, they'll hear some Japanese music, but really, that doesn't do what you think it would.

Kids in the U.S these days are VERY near sighted when it comes to other countries. Hell.. I barely know anything about other countries, take Poland for example. I have no idea wtf they do or anything about their history. I was even so naive to say that Kingdom Hearts was made in the U.S when I was younger. A little Japanese could be a stepping stone to another culture.
However, localization to Anime intro's CAN be done right as long as the team that does it MAJORED in film editing and sound.
really though, wtf is this?
(and how does it have 4 1/2 stars?)

The Funimation Dub of One Piece has Vic Mignoga singing the Japanese theme, just in English, and it sounds great.
And then there was the 4Kids Dub....yeah....
