If (for reasons unimportant) Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft came to an agreement and together developed a single gaming console that would carry on the next generation of games, do you think the games and the console itself would be successful? Also, would a console monopoly like this, in your eyes, no longer encourage competition to create better games or better systems?
For short: Would a single unified console (think 'WiiStation 360') be a good/bad idea, and how would you think it effects the future of gaming?

Mike A.K.A. "DaFishies" from Florida
going off of what pally said earlier this week.
In order to convey a big story throughout a game, do you think it's required to use cutscenes, voice acting and long passages to read? or do you think it's possible for games to have huge storylines but have it made in the most simplest way to make it easy to understand? example would obviously be MGS4 and the long cutscenes and voice acting and passages. Do you think they are necessary? or do you think that they over did it?
also on a side note, how do you think the new president obama will have an impact on the gaming industry? Do you think he will be more for or more against games.

With 2009 just starting, what do you all at 4PP think will be this year's gaming "fad" *Features that most games that come out during the year will have I.E. Every game featuring moral choices, user-generated content, etc.*?

Likely asked before, sort of a piece of crap question but my brain isn't really firing on all cylinders right now.
Sometimes I find myself getting burnt out and lose interest in gaming for a bit. How do you keep yourself interested in or motivated to play games? Any hobbies outside of gaming that help break it up a bit?
Another one I suppose. . .
Obviously the chat community has its pros and cons. Which type of chatters do you enjoy the most? Do you secretly enjoy the morons that come out allowing you to sort of go off on them? (I think I had heard Travis saying he rather enjoyed that sometimes).

What type of games do each members from 4playerpodcast specialize in?
For example, I'm pretty good at most FPS games I play meaning i specialize in that category of games but there are exceptions such as a bad day .

Do you guys think that one day graphics will become so advanced that they won't matter anymore? As in people will rebel from photorealism and rather prefer cartoony or better art direction in games?
Thanks Charles from DC ceby in chat.

If you had to name one of your children any name from any video game, what would it be?
Oh and the gender of the child is up to you guys.

ZCaliber from Fjord, Minnesota asks:
Being that graphics as a whole are reaching very high levels of details, what do you think console developers will have to do once graphics hit a point where they simply cannot make them any better?
Also, Aquaria, just so it doesn't drop too far off Brad's radar.

My 360 just had the RROD, and now I have to play the waiting game A) for it to get fixed and B) if need be, buy another one. I have a PS3 that i rarely use, but now i want to start building its library. I post this a lot in chat, but do you have any suggestions on what GOOD games I should get? Thanks.

If you remember or recall; What happened to the game Huxley? A MMO FPS that had looked promising, but has fallen off the radar. It was supposed to be for 360 and PC
If you do or don't remember, what do you think of the FPS MMO Genre?
