Isara:

i seriously don't like the eyes.......ergh....

the famous "OMG RUN!!!!!!!!!"

asymmetrical.....that's all i can say.....

and goldy? can't be bothered to find his picture

i don't know....the character design so far do not look right in my opinion.....

First off, I think this game is amazing. Definately one of my faves so far this gen, Top 5 for sure.

Knowing that an anime is in the works, yes, I'm looking forward to it, but I hope it doesn't end up like the Disgaea anime (which I still bought btw, that's how much I love Disgaea). As long as they stay true to the characters, there's no way I won't like this, as I'm not really picky.

I will say, though, that if they do dubs in English, I hope they keep the same voice actors. I dunno if Laura Bailey would reprise her role as Isara, though, as she usually does Funimation roles (Lust from FMA, Henrietta from Gunslinger Girl, etc)

EDIT: Forgot to say, as for the character designs, yeah, they look a bit off and a little more cutesy, but Valkyria Chronicles wasn't the shiniest game ever, so naturally the anime would be a lot brighter and look more lighthearted. As long as the costumes are accurate and I can tell which character's which, I'll be happy.

I guess they went more of the typical anime style instead of using the original versions that were used in the game. Regardless, I can't wait when this comes out.

it is bigger, way bigger than i had anticipated, kind of like a mark down in my book. most likely because the corner of the eyes are way lower in relation to the iris.

those silly augmentations had me worried about the outcome of the anime itself.......seriously....I don't get what the studio was thinking......
and what's with those soldiers on the sides? did they run out of manpower as well?
that's another reason why game adaption animes should not be done by an relatively unknown studio....

From those screenshots, I've noticed that they've added this "grainy effect" or that "canvas" type like from the game. Hope that this would go well in Japan, and contribute to VC having more sales.

(gotta draw more fanpics in case this one got big, or at least caught the attention of some doujin artists. only 1 month left.....)

anyway, those grainy looks are definitely a plus in my book, more worried about distortions though
