Just curious, what games have you all played that have, for lack of a better phrase, "hijacked" your life. For example, when I first played Animal Crossing, I clocked at least ten hours into that game every day for months. The same happened to me with Harvest Moon. Also, I think GTA 4 is quickly becoming a life-jacker for me because I just stayed up until 3:00 AM last before I went to sleep. I woke up at 8:00 AM and the first thing I did was turn my 360 on and play GTA 4.

LOL yeah.......animal crossing did eat away my life for a long time. Then I got really into dance dance revolution and was playing that nonstop for like a year. and then came counter strike which I played for literally 7-8 hours everyday and stayed up till 3 or 4 am on school nights. it was ridiculous. After that phantasy star online really took me by the horns because It was a fun multiplayer game i could play with my siblings or alone by myself in 1-player mode. and now im back at dance dance revolution for playstation 1 and might be here for a while. I don't really get any new games or systems so i have to rely on the replay factor for all of my games which kinda sucks :/ but pretty soon in like 2-3 years I'll by a new system for games and such because I'll be in college and Ill be able to afford and buy these things. Those games really took a hold of my life for like 4-5 years which is a looooooooooooong ass time. OOH also dynasty warriors 4 was really on me because I played it at my friends house literally every weekend for like 4-5 hours and then we'd play DDR which is why i got it for playstation 1. buy dynasty warriors 4 is still probably one of my favorite games just because I would always have fun playing it and it wasn't a hassle to play the game like I felt like I was being forced to do meaningless tasks. anyways I can't wait to here more from other people.

The one game I think got most of my life would have to be Rise of Nations, all I did was play that game and beat it every way I could

Age of Empires 2 really controlled my life for quite awhile. Then it was Gta 3-San Andreas. But I'd say the game that really controlled my life would have to be Guild Wars. For 2 1/2 years that was the only game I bought or played.

MMO's, especially FFXI and WoW. When I played those games i rarely played anything else and it hurt my enjoyment of other games i attempted to play (if that makes sense). I felt like I was missing out on a ton of other good games so I quit both mmo's, glad i did too.

Super Mario World, as a kid, I would never go outside because of this game, I'd stay inside until I completed it 100%

Harvest Moon 64 still has my balls, as did CS:S ( counter strike source ) until I got VAC banned. But right now I can drag myself away from games. (Until I get a new STEAM account and another copy of CS:S)
